I've had this mattress for 8 years now. 14" Queen. The last year it has been a lot softer and more sinkage. Definitely feels hot when sleeping. However for the price I can't complain much. I loved it for the first few years then it was just alright. First memory foam mattress so I have no experience. I think it's really good for the price if you like soft but some people that used it said it was not supporting their back and caused pain.
So, I recently treated myself to a Tempur Adapt Medium Hybrid, and today marks my one-week anniversary with it. I'm still getting a feel for it, but overall, I think I'm liking it. However, I've gotta be honest, not a huge fan of the mattress protector it comes with - it's kind of plastic-y, noisy, and gets really warm. I know I can probably find a cooler option out there, but after dropping four grand on the mattress and base, I'm a bit hesitant to invest more. I was really hoping for that instant bliss feeling, but I find myself reconsidering my decision daily. It seems a bit deceptive to have you test a mattress in store without protecter and then require you to use it for a warranty. Also, I've noticed something a bit odd on Tempurpedic's Facebook page - there seem to be 47 comments listed, but only 2 are actually showing up. It's got me a bit puzzled and maybe a tad freaked out. Any thoughts on that?
Really not sure what's going on with their Facebook comments. Perhaps that happens when they hide comments? Not sure, just a guest. As far as the protector goes, certainly spending more on a higher end protector will have a significant impact. I'm shocked the one they gave you isn't better. I was wondering if there are any plans to add Dreamfoam to your review lineup. I know there are reviews out there, but I like to get your thoughts since I'm a fan of your review methodology.
It's on our list to test for sure. Not super high up...as it's just not as popular as some of the other models on our list, but I would expect we'll get to it this year at some point.
@@NapLabReviews Thanks! I'm interested in the brand since 3Z does know how to use economics of scale to its advantage, so I see this line potentially hitting way above its weight. I'm also interested in seeing what they can accomplish with just a single layer in their Hybrid line.
@@mrjamesinblogington I did test them several years ago. At the time I thought it was a fine mattress, but also far far from great. Even so, for the money...not bad. It'll be interested to see how they perform in my new battery of tests.
