Lightweight, nimble handling and an eager engine, are the three key ingredients involved in creating a Hot Hatch, something that modern-day variations seem to miss. However, in 1984 Peugeot set out to create something special and so they followed the above recipe and what they came up with was a masterpiece - the 205GTI.
Designed by Pininfarina, the simple understated design with subtle hints of aggression married with its amazing power-to-weight ratio was absolute perfection. It was like a go-kart for the streets and provided the driver the purest of driving experiences. Needless to say with its peppy engine and darty handling the 205GTI has a storied history in Rallying and Racing and to date is still considered a benchmark in Hot Hatch design.
This particular car has been painstakingly restored back to the factory's original condition and its ownership history highlights a very interesting first owner.
