I deleted my Facebook a year ago and never looked back. Life is way more enjoyable. I don't feel the need to pull my phone out just to show the world when I go out to eat, when I go to the beach, etc. I get to just enjoy the moment. My brain works, I have memories. I don't need 10,000 pictures posted online and affirmation from people I don't interact with in meaningful ways. It really is the death of healthy relationships.

I disagree. I have a happy, HEALTHY marriage to a white man and I was raised as a Hebrew Israelite and later converted to Christianity. I never had my hair relaxed because I was taught from a young age to embrace my heritage and my skin. We talk race issues. We don't tiptoe. He is a huge advocate and ally for black people because that is who he is. He educates himself on history and asks questions. Most white people are not effective in understanding or helping the black cause because they are comfortable with their privilege and the bubbles they were raised in. Not my man. He has stood up against other white people who thought because they shared the same skin color, that he would agree with their racist sentiments. My husband has been BEATEN and JUMPED on multiple occasions because he was a white man in a black neighborhood by people who thought they were fighting racism. And he did not use that as an excuse to be a racist. And this was as a teenager. Our relationship works because we are the same in the most fundamental way. We judge people for their actions and words, not the color of their skin. And the two sons we're raising will be taught the same. I am an UNAPOLOGETICALLY BLACK WOMAN!!!!! But being pro-black doesn't mean being anti-white.

My bff's husband is white and one day one of his best friends who's a black man was at the house. They were discussing whether or not black people should use the n-word. My friend and I were in the next room she flew out to the living room and told her husband, "this is not for you!" She looked at his friend and said, "just because he cool with us doesn't mean his opinion on this is relevant". That was over 10 years ago he been on eggshells about racial subjects in that house since lol.

You can't expect to be trusted if you're doing the wrong things. Judge keeps talking about she took pictures with her hair dude. Who cares? Your hair dude is not the same as a married woman taking hugged up pics with her ex-boyfriend. Judge was soooooo off base in my opinion. Maybe because she's from a different generation.

Yeah the judge's advice was awful. The opener states that their problem was that they didn't "learn to trust". You don't "learn" to trust. You trust people that show they are trustworthy.
