I thought, when tightening lug nuts, you were supposed to tighten opposite nuts instead of just going around in a big circle. Did I learn that wrong, or is Quentin doing it wrong here?
I would use the professional for the detail, they have the experience with paint correction. But tell them you will do the ceramic coating use avalonking. He has a great product and easy to use! Love the old iron!
The stock alcoa wheels have always been the best looking wheel on the 90s era trucks other than a set of weld super singles. The old set of wheels you took off are American racing outlaws. Popular in the 80s.
Hey Quinton !!! Great that you were able to find parts for that year truck in that condition !! Lots of work still needs to be done like total wheel alignment to stop cupping of the tires !!! 🤔🤔🙄😏🤠😎😎👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
The wheels look way better than the solid ones, as for detailing it I'm unsure. I personally would give it a "Spit and Polish" (Quick clean,) and job done as it is a work truck. Now if it is your personal transport then go all in and send it to the detailers. Just my opinion, but it's looking so much better. 👍
Nice truck a couple years ago I had an F250 super cab the whole truck was same color as your grey strip it was hands down the cleanest 96 F250. I had the same oem Alcoa wheels it was completely stock other then the "TracRac" ladder rack I put on it I didn't want it to sit way over the roof line so I bought the one that fits a Toyota Tacoma or tundra wich sat about 1"-2" Over the roof. That truck got soo much attention everywhere it went
I really like the rare upgrades in my opinion the bumper and the tires definitely adds a lot more to this truck. I definitely think you should try detailing the truck I have faith in you that you can definitely do it.
Love the 97 Ford! My very first truck was a 1994 Ford F250! I loved that truck and owed it for over 10 years! Watching your videos brings back great memories! Keep up the great work!
I have a 97 F250 and I have to tell you that these trucks love those Lucas oil products. There is noticeable power and and the way it runs in lower RPMs to do 70 is nice. Mines has almost 375,000 miles on it. Also my truck has no mufflers of ANY kind on it 😁😁
I had a set of American Racing Outlaw 1’s just like you had on a Chevy years ago. I wasn’t crazy about the look BUT there was one big advantage….zero issues with having to clean brake dust off the front wheels. I could polish them and they’d hold a shine for months when cleaned up.
Love the show. You seem like a great guy to work for. I've been heavy equipment neck for 25 years places in Alberta Canada great guys like shot. Wish we had guys like you cheers
Be smart and have some one do the detail that has all the right equipment which you don’t! You do what you do best. (your job) and let them do there job, ( their best)!!!
Takes me back. I had a ‘97 crew that I bought new. Only had it a few years. I miss that truck. Love this series. I think I might have to try and find one!
You're going to love that for you going to take care of it it's going to take care of you you're going to be happy with that thing for as long as you own it.
Man tires are so expensive. Bought some KO2s for my f250. Got 5 cause the spare was junk. Over 2,000 bucks. Just wild. Give it a shot detailing it. It isn't a difficult job. You can always take it to the pro later for cleaning.
You should give a price break down on all the parts even if it's off craigslist. That way we would have a rough amount to go off of. Great video like always keep them coming
Smoke wrench for bolts that don't cooperate. I did not look at your half inch Milwaukee socket buster but if it's the mac daddy 1400 foot pound unit it will twist thoes bolts off now. and while you are under there cut off that old trash leftover trailer hitch. Finish with a can of satin black rustoleum spray and done.
I think you should leave detailing to that pro, he already have all tools and cleaning stuff in his shop. You can then keep doing those mechanical stuff on it, like better headlights and some for rear for to see working with trailer or anything in that area of truck. Maybe stronger leafsprings to rear axle, it kind of looked like little nose up, even nothing on hitch. Can make it better driven when towing heavy trailer. Gooseneck trailer?? Anyway it looks kind of cool as is, make it even better, keeping it still looking 25 years old style workhorse.
Ake sure you get the proper lug nuts the ones it should have are flat locks if you see the alcoa oe wheels dont have the bevel for the type of nuts you used . Great content btw just subsbed want to see more 7.3 content 👍🏻
