I'm going to miss you so much, Mark. You were such an inspiration to me in starting my own show. I got so much joy from watching you have fun on screen and just being yourself. Your love of games is such a wonderful thing to see and I always looked forward to a video from you each day over the past many years. You're one of the greatest. Don't you dare forget that.

I love this game! Played it a lot as a kid. Think my dad somehow copied a version onto a floppy for our old Atari computer. Love the title screen music ^_^

Mark, I've been following this channel since about 2008-2009 and I want to thank you for so much entertainment. I haven't watched all of your videos in fear that one day you'll hang your jersey up, so I'll still have fresh content from you. I'm happy that you're still going to upload as a hobby, but I just hope that you still wreck shit up in your El Camino. Have fun toting 1.5 alligators around.

I was always awful at this game but loved it on the old C64. I love the sound of all the gems falling when you open a hole and they pore in and fill an area.

i remember, when i was a kid, the first couple of demo discs i got for the playstation in like, 1998, had a bunch of games that were made by one or two-person teams using Net Yaroze consoles. most of them were reinterpretations of old arcade and home computer games (they were simple, i guess), and this was one of them. it was one of my mum's favourites, i believe.... it might have been one of my dad's favourites coming to think of it... or maybe it was one of my favourites, i honestly can't remember, all i remember was it having a two-chord guitar riff playing in the background constantly that i liked at the time but would find really annoying now. if anyone's curious, the chords were G and E minor

I remember playing a version of this game on the playstation demo magazine. They released some demos with net yaroze games and one of them was a version of this game. Nice review!

That music sounds like R2D2 given it hard to an R4 unit located inside a trash compactor that also has a positron collider getting crushed all at the same time.

Since it was mentioned a few videos ago, I ordered Black Belt Jones from Amazon. It came in the mail yesterday so I watched it immediately and I have to say, how have I lived this long without this movie in my life? Seriously, Black Belt Jones should have been as big as James Bond, with several sequels but only Jim Kelly as the title character. Everyone, go out and buy/rent/pirate it now.

Hey Lord Karnage, as of my viewing your like/dislike ratio is 296:2. That's phenomenal dude. You need more exposure because people obviously like your stuff. You also have an awesome radio voice, you should do a podcast or promos or something.

Loved this game on the MSX Toshiba, but hated the loading times from cassette though. It should have come out on cartridge. i remember the fireflies, it took us a while to work out how you could use it to create gems. My brothers & I laughed at each other when we got crushed by rock(s). I could be wrong but I though there was a way you could detonate Rockford when you got stuck - you died but at least you created an avalanche of gems.

Have you talked about the NES version yet? I don't think you've touched upon the newer re imagined games, like the ones on GBA, DS and 3DS (The last one is also on PC, but with annoying DRM.).

I really liked this game on Commodore 64 but I don't like the art on the cover. The strange head guy is just off. For us it was an ant. Made more sense since it's making paths in the dirt. There's also the space episode, it had a really cool atmosphere.

+psyrakan A word of advice as someone who has played Intelevision since i was 2, skip buying a model 2 as they are more expensive, and some games just won't work do too the fact Mattel changed the designed to make it cheaper, go with an original Intelevision, or the later rebadged INTV silver model if you want an original, but the best model to own is a Sears Super Video Arcade which uses joypads with Atari standard 9pin plugs that can be removed, and are not hardwired onto the motherboard, and so far all games I've played on mine seem to work flawless. Also on the games make sure they at least have the controller overlays so know what your doing, and if you don't want to go threw all that then Intelevision Lives on the GameCube or Original Xbox is a fantastic way to play some of the better games despite the odd control layouts.

As someone who grew up with the intelevision at a very early age(2 when I first played it), These are a must have for the intelevision as they convert the disc into a thumb stick. I have some taller ones on my current Sears Super Video Arcade Intelevision clone. www.ebay.com/itm/Intellivision-Attachable-Joystick-Adapters-x2-INTV-Originals-great-shape-/191677080657?hash=item2ca0d82451:g:FD4AAOSw~gRV4h5W and as hard as these are too find in good shape now $28 is not a bad price.

The graphics are pretty nice for a 2nd gen game system...
@atomicskull6405
@atomicskull6405 8 лет назад
+Ruko Michiharu Well it was the first 16-bit game console. It used an 894khz General Instruments CP1610 which was a 16-bit CPU. That's not a typo btw the clock speed was less than 1mhz.
@Michirin9801
@Michirin9801 8 лет назад
Atomicskull Well, the "bitness" of a game system matters so little... I mean, the N64 had a 64 bit CPU and the Wii had a 32 bit CPU, tell me which one is more powerful? Another example, The Turbografx 16 had an 8 bit CPU (and 2 16 bit GPUs) and the Neo Geo Pocket Colour had a 16 bit CPU (and an 8 bit GPU) and yet the Turbografx 16 is quite a bit more capable than the NGPC...
@CarbonatedLithium
@CarbonatedLithium 8 лет назад
+Ruko Michiharu True....the graphics chip has a lot to do with it and the Intellivision's graphics chip was and is a limiting factor in creating games for the system. The title screen of Boulder Dash actually pushes the system to its limits actually

At $100+ per copy, most people will never get to play this version, and like most 8-bit console games of the last decade, it hasn't been dumped and probably never will be. So much for the "preservation" aspect of emulation...
