Ordered mine! It came today! Shipping took about 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to replacing the panel this weekend. Thanks

I replaced my original fuse box on my 78 930 with this Classic Retrofit fuse box and it is probably one of the best upgrades that i have ever done.I would feel comfortable now driving my car ascross Country and planning on purchasing one for my 72 911.

I have never had a problem with my original fuse blocks with my 87 and 89 but I love the solid nature of your product.

Thanks Tim. The original boards are all working below optimum in our experience. It's a nice upgrade to make for peace of mind. Simple to do and easily reversible.

Fitted this recently to my SC hot-rod - super easy install, direct fit as promised. Love the LED indicators integrated into the panel as well.

Great, love the integrated headlight relay. Do you recommend a starter solenoid relay too to save the ignition switch?

We try to integrate as much as possible. The ignition switches on these cars can play up so may be worth changing the switch if you're worried about the condition. Switch meltdown is a thing on some cars.

The turbos ( 930s ) have two fuel pumps. Both go through the same fuse, which is thus overloaded and prone to failure. A known workaround is to drive each pump with an individual fuse. Is there an extra space on your product I could use for that purpose?

Hi Brett, yes we are aware of this but the issue is the fuse contact rather than the fuse. You don't need to run two fuses with our panel as the contact area is much greater with a blade fuse.

I have a 68 911L fitted with a 1977 911s drive line, wire harness and gauges. The car is converted to an 1973 RS light weight clone. I have removed removed a good amount of wires that are no longer needed with the RS tribute. I had a short i the front and fried some wires. I’m at a point where i can use the excuse to upgrade to a modern panel. Here’s my question, Is this best use for this panel? Drive line is a 77S with a 2.7 CIS and the matching Guages.

I noticed that in your demonstator car on the upgraded fuse panel you didn't use the "H" position. From your installation instructions this connection is for a direct feed from the battery to the two relays to supply current to the headlights. Is my understanding of this function correct? Is there any reason why you chose not to use that connection?
@ClassicRetrofit

It is only necessary to connect the extra headlight feed (H) if you want to use high output bulbs.

? There are 3 integrated circuits mounted above the mounting panel. What are they for? Thanks.

They are our updated relays: a brand new product that's been in testing for a year or so - we'll be producing the first batch very soon. The replacements Porsche sells nowadays are junk!

@@ClassicRetrofit But ICs are not relays. Relays are electromechanical devices, not solid state devices. I think I understand now. These are switching transistors that do not have the plastic covers over them. Got it. Thanks again.

Thanks Tim, they are high quality automotive relays. We'll share full details when the product is launched in a few weeks.

In case anyone else is wondering, look at the video at 4 min 32 sec for reference-- see the exposed circuits where the "round red" fuel pump relay would normally be (many guys source the older German ones vs the newer ones).

Where are your relays (?), it looks as if they are off and have been relocated.

The relays fitted are prototypes we are working on.

@@ClassicRetrofit I see you are working on them after a bit more reading. I would be interested since my '85 911 has turn signal relay issues. I will probably upgrade the entire fuse block as well.... Thank you!
