My wife has been using the same recipe for these cookies for decades and in recent years, it's just not working. I'm wondering if there has been a change in the flour that is causing the dough to be to too stringy/moist and not sticking or pulling off the cookie gun. Went through 2 batches recently and had to keep adding flour for it to finally sorta work. UPDATE: In talking to my sister about this, it has to do with the butter. They have added a LOT of water to the butter and so it's way more thin than it used to be. She has had a lot of recipes she used to make that just don't work well anymore because of this change.
How do you make swirls--use the cookie press to make a circle. I don't decorate them, just have swirls. Also the cookie press is very difficult with carpal tunnel syndrome.
Navigating the website is impossible! Lots of pretty pictures but when I FINALLY got to the measurements the page disappeared! Nope. I’m not one to criticize but I am very frustrated. 😳
