Classic Sonic vs. Modern Sonic! The two set up a competition to show who of them is the fastest.
This video is a little remake of one of my older sonic videos, which I unfortunately deleted. Hope you enjoy this one!

From what I see and what I feel when played sonic generations and sonic forces, classic sonic has the fastest acceleration and an ability to jump longer after gained enough speed. While modern sonic has the highest top speed and able to keep it stabilized with his boost. But it will need a lot of boost bar to be spent when doing his first trigger. That's why you should hold it as long as possible instead of squirting it

I feel like classic sonic acceleration is faster but modern top speed and start speed is on a whole different level. Classic sonic can control his speed better though

Modern sonic has boost, homing attack and other powers he can use to keep his speed meanwhile classic sonic has powers like spindashing, drop dashing(not on generations) and peelout (not on generations) that helps him get better speed on shorter times. I guess modern max speed is faster than classic but needs boost to keep it meanwhile classic can go on his full speed using momentum and jump higher with that too soooo it kinda matters the way you play it. Other than that pretty cool video I must say... I love both sonics but classic is my favorite...

Fun fact: the fastest sonic is movie sonic, he's literally able to freeze time itself and go all the way to a rubber band festival back to a truck

The Freeze time thing is moreso time dilation than time freeze since he's moving faster than everything around him. While the Rubber Band ball to truck thing is impressive, Game Sonic already beat that back in Colors with Terminal Velocity Act 2.

He had voice actors like in the 3 TV shows (Jaleel White) , Sonic CD (Masato Nishimura) and in the 1996 Sonic movie (Japanese Masami Kikuchi) (English Martin Burke)

Classic Sonic in Generations has an OP Spindash that is faster than the boost , but Modern Sonic has other moves that helps him on doing shortcuts

its more about how you play then which one is faster. In my opinion, with enough speed and momentum Classic Sonic would win. Sky Sanctuary is kind of puzzle based too more then speed. And you took damage too

When I experimented with it myself, Classic Sonic was much faster. In my opinion, both are Sonic, so the speed is the same.

I think that in chemical plant, The gameplay of Modern Sonic had some... "Distractions" Of course you're not the best player, but you did way better with classic!, The level design really matters, doesn't it ?
