It’s looking good! I’m an NQT in year 2 this year...I’m excited to start now ☺️ It’s so lovely being able to see life as a teacher from a UK perspective as there aren’t many on RU-vid. Sorry to hear about your grandma, I hopes she’s doing better x
Cally Isabella she is thank you! Aw so kind of you I’m sure you’ll be amazing in your NQT year but you know where I am if you have any questions/ need anything :) x
I found that using velcro works well for the visual timetable, i stick one long strip on my whiteboard and then smaller pieces of the timetables sections - just an idea x
I'm sorry to hear about your Grandma, I hope she's doing ok. I am in my final year of teacher training and I'm so excited to start. I am aware that obviously teachers have so much extra work outside of school with planning, marking etc. But these two videos are SO much work, did you get paid overtime for them? Sorry if this is a weird question! You've done such an amazing job! xx
All these things that you've bought ie. storage boxes, ivy, backdrops etc. for displays, games (boggle, dobble), magazine files etc. do you get given a budget from the school or are these things you've purchased out of your own income, or do you file an expenses form?
Beth Evans some things are provided by school as standard for everyone to use like most of the boarders and backing paper. The backdrops and ivy etc I buy with my own money and no I don’t expense it. Some of the games are bought by school. I buy what I want for my classroom as it can come with me from school to school. I also use things from school that I wouldn’t buy or that they provide so it’s not buying everything myself that would be silly if school provides it. Every school is different for what they do and don’t provide however display backing and boarders are usually a standard thing that is.
@@DisplayLadyThank you! I'm starting a school placement next week and I'm really struggling to decide what to wear! Dont want to look too formal or informal argh! X
Sweet!!! Thank you for sharing your classroom! I love your school design and your class is very alluring. You would be a great mentor. You should have emailed me sooner to connect. Regards.
Hayley George so I would say make sure you get C or above (I’m sorry I don’t know the numbers) in English, Maths and Science. I personally would get the Ebac (so either history or geography and a language) but the other subjects need to be what you enjoy and think you will do well in. Hope that helps :)
Pug year 2 is lovely if you like younger children. It will be challenging in some ways more than other year groups because of the SATs and phonics re-test. But if that’s what you want to do go into a school and see :) they will be happy to have you I’m sure!
Display Lady Aw thanks! You are really helpful. Keep up the good work and can you keep posting the day of the life of a teacher I really enjoy watching them!
