The CLATINA Ergonomic High Swivel Executive Chair is one of the best options in my opinion for an insanely comfortable chair that won't break the bank.

Thanks for the review, I was looking specifically for a review of this chair. I didn't notice, but does the chair tilt? I don't mean reclining the back, can the seat bottom tilt back as well? Like can you rock back & forth?

The chair at max hight is around 32 inches but I can be adjusted lower than 28. I have a desk that is 28 inches and it slides under when adjusted

I’m trying to order this chair through Amazon and they had a fabric back or a mesh which is better?
@KirbyCurbwhy
@KirbyCurbwhy Год назад
The mesh backrest is more breathable so it gets less sweaty, but the fabric backrest is softer and also 30$ cheaper than going for the mesh option (at least from the prices I saw on amazon). I went with the fabric option and it's very comfortable in my opinion though it gets a little warm around the lumbar support, it's not a problem for me personally but if you really care about breathability then I'd go for the mesh.

@@KirbyCurbwhy hey how's your chair holding up? I'm thinking of getting it but worried it'll break easily
@KirbyCurbwhy
@KirbyCurbwhy Год назад
@@maaax573 It's holding up really well for me, but I'd keep in mind that a frequent issue with the chair I've seen is that the cylinder falls through the base and drags on the floor, the seat of the chair resting on the cylinder is very heavy so it can cause damage to carpets and floors if that happens. Though, it shouldn't be too hard to find an aftermarket base that is sturdier. I also don't really trust the armrests, a lot of QC issues are centered around them and apparently the locking mechanism uses plastic parts, which isn't great in my opinion. But for the 230$ price tag (including the headrest) it's still probably the best chair for the price, and I'd even just consider it a great chair full stop.
@maaax573
@maaax573 Год назад
@@KirbyCurbwhy I really don't want mine to break. I've been thinking about getting a Costco, staples, or IKEA chair so I think I'll check those out and come back to this one if anything. If I were to go with the mellet, how would I find a cylinder replacement?
@KirbyCurbwhy
@KirbyCurbwhy Год назад
@@maaax573 Ebay probably has some replacement parts, but there's no guarantee with aftermarket parts, and not every part will be available. For example, I'm not sure where to find similar lumbar cushions to the Mellet if the lumbar on the chair breaks. If anything, certain failures should be covered with the warranty, it seems like CLATINA's customer support is pretty good but there are some reviews on amazon of people who didn't have a good experience with support. I know the IKEA and Staples chairs are pretty well regarded and probably have superior support, I was looking at the Hyken before eventually setting on the Mellet and I know the Hyken has a 7-year warranty that covers the entire chair, which is definitely superior to the Mellet's warranty. The Mellet also has a 90-day return window where you can send the chair back for free, but keep in mind the heavy chair and the massive box it comes in may make that a bit of a painful task. I guess all I really have to say is that the Hyken/Dexley and JÄRVFJÄLLET are comparable and definitely backed better if you're worried about the chair breaking, the Mellet has the edge in comfort according to BTOD but it's probably not as huge of a leap as they make it seem, though I would watch out for the comfort on the Hyken due to it having a classic Aeron style seat that makes you get pins & needles in your legs after long hours of sitting (according to some). P.S. If I can say anything about the Mellet's build quality itself, it doesn't seem like there's many sketchy parts aside from the base and arms, the rest is either thick plastic or steel which is pretty impressive for the price.

Those arms are ridiculously too far forward. Impossible to sit close to the desk with the arms at desk hight.

My Amazon review... Chair arrived today, but is ***missing headrest***. I have reached out to the seller and am awaiting a resolution. My chair was more difficult to assemble than it should have been. The casters didn't want to snap into the base without A LOT of unnecessary force. The back was VERY difficult to slide onto the seat. If you do not possess a lot of upper body strength, you will probably need to get some help for this part of the assembly. TIP: slide the seat out away from the back to make it easier to tighten the bolts. UNFORTUNATELY... I can't keep this chair. After several hours of use, I was in so much pain from the seat and armrests that I had to revert to my old chair. The armrest are barely padded at all. The seat... I can't tell if it's just too small for me or if it has to do with the padding itself. It definitely bottoms out, but so does my current chair. Not sure the exact reason, but a chair shouldn't cause pain. Overall impressions: It is a nice looking chair. Unlike most budget (or even more expensive) office chairs, there is no excessive play in any of the components. There is a good range of adjustment (though I would appreciate a little more range in the lumbar adjustment). Unfortunately, this chair is definitely designed for the AVERAGE person. I am 6'2 240 and the seat cushion is a bit narrow and shallow for my taste. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the headrest because it is MIA. Summary: For the average person, I feel this is a very good ergonomic chair with good adjustability and good quality, especially for the price. Can't say so much for the comfort though.

I bought this chair sometime ago and it is horrible. The quality is disgusting for 270 dollars. When assembling this chair, it was molded incorrectly by the company, meaning that you cannot put the back of the chair on. The quality control is outrageously bad and I will only recommend you buying a chair from this company if you want to waste almost 300 dollars.

Avoid Clatina Chairs. The company is trash. If your chair breaks they won't honor their own policies. They went as far as to tell me that they'll send me a new replacement chair even though all I asked for was a replacement part (I was willing to fix the chair myself), they told me the new chair was shipped, and then 2 weeks later when it didn't arrive, I asked for a tracking number and they told me they changed the policy and would not send me a replacement chair. Even though they told me they had already shipped it. Total scam company. Avoid!
