Like others pointed out, this video contains a mixture of recordings from diferent recitals. For example the Liszt was recorded in 1971, 17 September, live at Chiesa del Collegio Papio, Ascona. You can check it out for yourselfs.

good quality recording. probably there is a mistake on dates, for 1979 arrau wasn't playing mozart in live performances, the last time that he plays that mozart combination was in 1972. best

Merci à celui qui ajoute toutes ces vidéos de Claudio Arrau ; j'ai travaillé avec Rafaël Da Silva, ami du maitre et chilien comme lui, qui m'a enseigné la technique qui vient en droite ligne de Franz Liszt et, bien que modeste pianiste amateur, je suis à même d'apprécier particulièrement l'art du grand maître qui allie à un technique sans faille une profondeur musicale inégalée , je pense, au XXème siècle Merci aussi pour toutes ces photos ; il serait bien cependant d'ajouter les noms des diverses personnes qui sont représentées quand il s'agit d'une photo de groupe. Merci beaucoup ; au fait, Damavand est le point culminant de l'Iran... alors, qui est On The Top of Damavand for ever ?

Those pieces are played magnificently, which I really don't need to say too much. The date is wrong for sure. I wanted to point out the reason why Arrau chose these "three" pieces together. The reason is pointed out by Charles Rosen in his " Beethoven piano sonatas, a short companion". In the sonata "quasi una fantasia" op.27 no.1, not only all movements start "attaca subito", they also *interpenetrate* each other, Like K,475 serves as an introduction to K.457. This sense interpenetration can't be more clear in Liszt's sonata.

This is nonsense. The Mozart is from a Salzburg recital in 1965, as another viver pointed out. The Liszt doesn's even sound like it's Arrau. Wait, yes, maybe it is, after all.
