Piano version of 'Glöm Mig Om Du Kan' (Demo Title: 'When The Waves Roll Out To Sea'), which must stand as one of the most wonderful compositions by anyone - ever.
It's more than 12 years ago since I first heard a scratchy copy of Benny's original demo performance of this track, and I was immediately struck by the beautiful rawness of the piece. The sweeping verse melody from the unreleased 'Just Like That' married to a stunning, operatic chorus was just musical perfection to my ears. One day, I said, I will attempt to record it. Well, here it is.
I provide only part of the recording to test the water as it were, and musical purests will note that I don't actually play all the identical notes to Benny. Please allow me some creative licence.
My version is musically a cross between Benny's instrumental and 'When The Waves Roll Out To Sea' sung by Elaine Paige.
