I remember some short time after becoming clean, I took a train to the beach to meet up with my pops. The most beautiful trip ever; the trees seemed green, the sky bluer. Everything. It’s like I could see in detail again!!! Totally allowed my mindset and willingness and everything to flourish even more!

Doesn't sound corny it sounds absolutely beautiful. Congratulations by the way. I was an addict in Kensington myself and now I'm going on four years of continuous sobriety. Jail is how I got clean I was in Bucks and on State road.

Thank you it was not easy trying to get my weight back up and get healthy and it was even harder to get my mind set straight everyday it's a continuous process to keep getting healthier stronger and mentally stable

I know I'm amazed myself not only by the way that I look but who I am and how I feel today is not the same person I was when I was in Kensington I'm so grateful to be sober it's a true blessing

I'm so sorry to hear about your loved one I lost many people within my family and my friends and the people that I don't even know my heart goes out to them because I know just as easily it could have been me who is Six Feet Under I'm very grateful for Frank and all the people that comment on here I pray that the people we love that has passed away from this disease help guide the ones that are still living and need help. I know personally the grieving process is hard and I'm not over it but with everyday clean I pray it puts a smile on their faces in heaven

Don't worry about your smile I know it's hard but the story that you have to share is bigger and more important to get out there it's our job to share the message that this is possible I think you should absolutely still do it

I know I never noticed how my voice sounded and so I got clean look back at it it's so hard to watch the previous videos but hopefully I can help other people

1 week - 10 days is all it takes. Get off methadone. It just transforms your compulsive behavior into a dependency, but it is still a dependency. It still has the same drug in it. Methadone time is not considered a clean time. Methadone dependency is worse than heroin dependency. But you know what, you can go through a reduction plan starting from let's say 3 ml and ending up at 0.1ml. Then just hold yourself together and make it through the first 10 days. You are free. Any kind of physical dependency will be gone on the 21st day. Then the next 45 days are reassurance time that you are not going back. The next 45 days (altogether 3 months) are just dealing with your mental game. In the next 3 months (altogether 6 months), the body removes every other molecule of the drug from it. In the next 3 months (altogether 9 months), the body starts regeneration in its normal course. The next 3 months (1 year) is just a buffer time that reassures you you are no longer an addict and you have stepped onto a forever course of the search for sobriety at any cost, post 1 year. You can do it. Try it out. I am on my 6 month and am very much positive that I would never go back to those streets.

Yeah when I got home from jail I cried want to watch the video I could barely watch it I couldn't believe the state that I was in and thought it was okay today I'm learning the life of sobriety and the gifts that it brings and I'm so joyous and eager to see what's next

It doesn't matter why anybody just likes the video it's not for them the video isn't even for me I'm the one who was in it it's to show people that there's hope everybody's entitled to their own feelings what Frank is doing is bigger then a person who dislikes a video it's bigger than even Frank there is divine destiny that is happening and it is the people who have loved ones and addiction and the recovering addicts that have a job to help those suffering not by enabling them but by showing them that there's a way out

Your words are a blessing to my heart thank you for caring yes recovery is not all sunshine and rainbows and I have hard days and need help everything is not ideal in my recovery right now but it is definitely better than where I was and I'm very grateful right now I'm trying to get on my feet and pick up all the little pieces that I shattered through my active addiction

Thank you yes I'm very happy to be sober sometimes it's hard for me to see how far I've come but when people comment and I see this video and I watch it well people remind me of how strong I am because a lot of times I don't even realize it I just feel like it's my life and I should be doing better but with people keeping tabs on me and talking to me and caring and reminding me of how far I've came it becomes a big realization I'm so grateful for it

Do you mean you were 2 years on methadone or do you have a clean period of 2 years now after having detox and subsequent methadone treatment? Because methadone still has the same thing in it. It just transforms your compulsive behavior into a dependency but it is still a dependency. So the methadone time is not counted to be a clean time.

I'm home n sober now !!I went back to k&a for a couple weeks n I could do it to myself again......I Decided to go back to rehab and leave Philadelphia altogether ... now I'm doing good I have 6 cats and am trying to just keep doing better than the day before
