The good news is, I've developed what I call "express cleans", which help you clean a room in as little time as possible. In general, it's my husband around the house. He kind of just leaves a trail of clutter behind him xD. However, I do the shopping hauls with food and necessities, and we don't have an entry way. Our door opens right into the kitchen, so I tend to unload on the kitchen counter, put food, away... and then take a "break" that ends up being a couple days before the counters are de-cluttered. xD

Wow, 14 minutes, so doable! I am by far the messy person. I usually let it pile up all day; once all three kids are in bed for the night, I start watching CMS videos for encouragement and motivation. 🤦‍♀️😆👍

So glad I found your videos! When I was working for 35 years I had a cleaning person do my cleaning. Now that I am retired and in these days of Covid, I am not comfortable having someone in my house for 4-5 hours so I am trying to do my own cleaning. I realized I had no idea how to clean efficiently or what products to use. Thank you so much for your tips and videos. I have made some of the solutions you use and ordered a bunch of your microfiber cloths (haven't yet gotten them) and watch your videos for motivation. Now I have to start cleaning!!

Messiest person is my husband on the few occasions he cooks. I've tried to demonstrate the clean as you go concept to him. But somehow he makes it so that our kitchen looked like an ogre got the munchies and helped himself to a spread. Love all your videos!!

I am a man but even worse,a bachelor and l am going to attempt to clean my rather large kitchen for the first time in 8 months.( l last cleaned it for my 50th Birthday) I am very grateful for these tips. I literally did'nt know where to even start,maybe with the Philadelphia cheese in the fridge,it's green! Great video and great tips! Subbed.

When you start recording new videos can you do one about how you manage to stay organized with a baby? Specifically different ways and places to keep babys stuff from taking over the house. I know there are tons of videos out there but I'd love to see it from your perspective.

Definitely me. I tend to put dishes in the sink to soak and forget about them. I prewash my dishes before they go into the dishwasher because my dishwasher is old and don't clean them very well if i don't. I like using the dishwasher also because it gets hotter then my hand can handle so i know that my dishes are free from germs.

Pro tip if you use your blender as soon as you finish put water in it and run it and repeat again. This makes cleaning it super quick and easy.

One of the things we do is run the dishwasher at night. one of my first chores in the morning is to empty the dishwasher. Then throughout the day we place all dirty dishes(maybe not pots and cutting boards) in the dishwasher- they are out of sight and kitchen remains tidy.

Do you have some kind of express clean type thing for folding/ putting away laundry? I work in retail and have a very busy schedule. I have no issues WASHING the clothes, but when I get home from work I cant get myself to fold/ hang a single shirt more. Help!

Melissa, i noticed you refilled the soap dispenser! I was getting annoyed of doing that because it always happened to run out when I was hosting. So on Pinterest, I found a hack using plastic tubing that went into the dish soap bottle (a large one) that sat under the sink. It's amazing!!!!

My husband too.. he cooks but doesn’t clean as he cooks or makes a plan about what he needs.. I clean up after him and man does he use so many pots & utensils to cook!! I do use yr cleaning methods .. but he-gets overwhelming when in the kitchen...and leaves half eaten foods on the counter.. I’m sure he left a mess in the kitchen as I’m typing this..lol

I've got one question: how do you keep white counters white? My white counters are kind of a strange material (not glossy) so when I cook with spices - turmeric esspecially, or coffee gets spilled over, sometimes it remains some marks. How do you restore the white?

I clean my fridge pretty much the same way as you do. However, I have a comment about how you dispose of the items you won't keep. I recently read an article that said that Canadians are the worst at recycling because we don't dispose of our recyclables properly. Any leftover food residue is a no-no in the recycling process, I guess, because it can spoil the recycling of papers. I always rinsed my recyclable containers before putting them in the bin, but now have started to remove the labels from the cans, and to wash all the containers in the dishwasher after rinsing them. That way they are clean when they hit the recycle bin. Also, where we live they only take recyclables every second week, so my recycle and refundable area will not smell by the time the truck comes to take it all away. We can't recycle glass here, which is ridiculous in my opinion, so ours goes in the garbage. What a waste!

Man! I hated dishwasher, while i was in USA. Washing and loading dishwasher was the biggest task for me (because we eat Indian food) . We generally wash dishes in sink and put it in drying mesh (idk how to describe it).

SquickSquick I know rite. It's triple the work with having to clean the pots and plates out first and placing them in the dishwasher. I'd rather go ahead and wash em in the sink. It's a lot easier and hygienic I personally believe. We've never had food poisoning from washing dishes in the sink for generations. Dishwasher is for lazy people I believe lol

Savithri Lovett how exactly would a dishwasher be for lazy people? If as you say its triple the work? And a dishwasher sanitizes the dishes with hot water(hotter than water you can hand wash dishes with) and steam. It's fine if you prefer to wash by hand but why put down others for their preference? And I have never heard anyone suggest the reason for using a dishwasher to keep from getting food poisoning. Lmao

I wish I had a dishwasher because I cook everyday. And man, it takes me up to 40 minutes to wash dishes after dinner and the counters. I don't understand why people say dishwasher is such hard work. All those pots that need to be washed by hand every time... scrubbing. I say this is harder.

Well i am not defending Savithri over here, but people here doesn't know what gruesome Indian or Indian subcontinential food can bring. You cannot dump those diahes straight away in dishwasher.
