Cleaning Engine with P21S Total Auto Wash 

Please use caution when putting any water in the engine bay. I cannot guarantee whether you will or will not have any problems I can only advise based on what I do. If you are spraying the P21S total auto wash on the engine and following the basic guidelines of not using high-pressure water and only holding the hose directly above the engine bay with the water coming straight down in a light spray pattern, and not spraying at angles that would direct the water into the alternator, I would hope that would be OK and not cause you any problems. I hope that helps and please let us know how it goes if you decide to do it that way. Water makes its way in most engine bays by driving on wet pavement and so they are supposed to be able to handle some light water spray but may not be designed to handle direct pressure from a hose so make sure to have your hose on a light setting like a shower setting and not a jet setting.

No, I have never had any issues and only cover the alternator with a plastic bag. I am not spraying with high pressure.

NOPE. My car's a 2018 . Just Plastic Bagged the Alternator. P21S let it sit and Rinse. Repeat as Needed.
