i am only 13, but when i’m older and have my own home/ apartment i’m going to get ferrets!! i am starting research now so i am all set and prepared for the future🙈 your channel is VERY helpful.
Thank you so much for all your help, I know I just sent a comment on your last video however with all the information I have gathered of you and a lot of research I have convinced my mom enough to let me have a ferret for my birthday. Thank you so so so much.
I miss my baby so bad!!! Its been 1 week and a day since I had to help him pass over the 🌈 bridge to his sister and brothers and I STILL can't bring myself to clean up his things. Its so hard after over 12 years of loving and caring for them to have the sudden quiet. 😔
@@Pazuandfriends Thanks. It progressed very quickly and came on in a matter of months. I had a very similar circumstance happen with his older brothers passing. I am beyond angry with the way the mill has overbred and mixed these sweet amazing animals and obviously diluted the gene pool so much that they're getting robbed of anything close to a near full lifespan. Even a decade with a pet is too short but my vet told me she's seeing them get deathly ill younger and younger over her years of practicing. She was surprised my girl loved to be almost 8 when she passed in 2012! I told her that was a normal and healthy life and she said she'd never seen one live that long. (My old vet retired and I had to find a new one. This practice is run by a family and they truly love animals. She couldn't get over him almost weighing 4 lbs and how huge he was and called us both blondies lol). He was by far my biggest of them all. He had adult size paws at 6 months old, curled then around my fingertips like a baby clutches a finger and I even carried him in the crook of my arm on his back like a newborn. He couldn't balance on my small shoulders more than 3 seconds and forget it if I tried to move! I'm petite like you so you can imagine Appa or Momo riding around the house on your shoulders and the back of your neck 😆(did I get the white brother and sisters names right?). I love hearing the door scratches and pitter patters in the background of your videos. Those along with the fast thumps for itching were like soothing background noises to me without realizing it until they all stopped. Give your noodles some love from me!!!
Wow, I’m so sorry. But it’s absolutely amazing how he lived up to twelve years, that is just crazy for a ferret! You must of taken careof him really well, and I’m sure he had a happy life with an amazing owner like you! 💙
@@jamestheminorbender2279 Youre very sweet! My girl lived to be almost 8 who passed in 2012. A boy I rescued was around 7 or 8 when he had to be put down also in 2007. My last two boys both only lived to be around 3 and a half sadly before developing enlarged spleens and cancers. It just tells a lot about about marshall farms products and breeding lines.
This video is so entertaining to watch! I love how dedicated you are to your Ferrets and how you always want to provide them with the best care possible! :)
I like your videos. You show the real care, which is a lot of work. I don't have ferrets, but from time to time I like to watch what it's like to have them!
I let mine roam free as well. They are very happy and like to sleep in the same room as us. They like to sleep in the last drawer of our dresser, where we keep their blankets and pillows for them.
My little guy owns the house I'm just his maid 24/7 😹 but deep down inside I know he appreciates all the cleaning I do for him and in return I get plenty of ferret kisses
This is a great video! I’m looking to get my own ferrets, but I still have a lot to learn. I wanted to ask your opinions out complete meat grinds. I watched all of your raw playlist, but can’t find many resources on grinds. I want to learn as much as possible about each diet before I make a decision on which diet is best for my life style.
I was also wondering on this and I was thinking about Hare-today.com ‘s complete grinds with everything in them since she recommended that website but I’m not sure if it’s the best.
I think I’m going to start with something simple for a week to get to strengthen my relationship with the ferret, then I am going to very carefully transfer them to more rich and healthy raw meat (this is what I think I’ll do when I get my ferrets)
Ahh, my boyfriend and I are heavily considering getting a ferret soon! We live in our own home and already have 5 cats (plenty of room for everyone and then some, don’t worry, the cats even have their own room!), and a ferret would be perfect for our little family. Not sure if we’d go the completely cage free route, but I want to fix him/her up with the best supplies we can find and I’m doing a lot of research beforehand. Videos like this are fantastic! Love your channel and your babies! 🥰
I love using the vinegar and water solution! I make my own baby wipes with it too. Just get some washcloths, cut them into fours and set them in a container with the solution to soak. Then just grab one, wring it out, clean up the mess. To clean them I rinse them really well in the tub and then put them in the washing machine. :)
So I am getting ferrets in a couple of months and I am going to have a ferret room, I am going to have a cage in there ( they will be able to go in and out of the cage freely ) and I am going to put a cover in at night for coziness. But since I’m gonna be doing the whole room and fill it with tunnels and cat towers and stuff, I don’t really want to spend a lot on a cage, do you think I could do a c & c grid cage? Also do you keep your grinds in the freezer and thaw it out, or in the fridge. ( sorry I have a lot of questions) Also do you just put an chicken wing from the store in their food like twice a week if you so grinds? And should you have like really good kibble available for them all day and feed them meat since they eat every couple of hours? Also are floor vents safe for ferrets? Thank you so much to anyone that replies with answers!🙏🏾 🥰
Reese Patrick I’ve seen on some videos people saying not to get cat towers for them since they could fall and get injured >.< But I hope u can find someone who can answer the rest Lol (I don’t own ferrets yet Btw lol I’m just trying to help some people out by telling them what I’ve learned in the past year ^^ But yeah I don’t recommend the cat towers >.
Another fantastic video, I cannot tell you how much you have helped our family with our ferret care! :) I have a huge question for you, I currently feed my two boys Ziwipeak beef, and chicken air dried kibble because both my husband, and myself work full time. Our newest noodle Nimbus has been having a lot of tummy troubles though, and has not been digesting his food properly since we adopted him. He had intestinal parasites, and was treated for them within the first week we had him. He has not put on weight since we adopted him either, and I have been an incredibly stressed ferret mom. :( We are taking him to the vet tomorrow afternoon for another check up, but our vet has now suggested we start feeding him a hypoallergenic food. I have been unable to find a cat food that is ferret appropriate with the hypoallergenic label on it. Do you have any suggestions for us? We desperately just want to help our Nimbus feel better. Thank you so much again for all of the fantastic videos, you have been such an amazing help!!
It could be issues from the parasite. Who knows how long he had it before you got him. Hypoallergenic food wouldn’t help, it’s best to actually target what’s ailing him rather than covering it up and slapping on a hypo food. Do a minimal protein diet if you think he has allergies. Feed only beef Ziwi for a week. Of course, I ultimately do recommend a raw diet especially with those with sensitive stomachs as it contains all the healthy live enzymes / probiotics in their full form. Some ferrets just don’t do well with any form of processed foods (like many humans!). You can also try feline naturals FDR. FDR is less processed than Ziwi, it may help. Lack of weight gain was probably due to the parasite. Hope this helps
@@Pazuandfriends Thank you so much for your response, this did indeed help! I have ordered a bag of the feline natural's as you have suggested for Nimbus, and will try to only feed him the beef ziwi for a week to see if that helps him. I hope to be able to feed both my boys raw eventually, I of course want to do my absolute best for the both of them. :) Our vet will be doing yet another fecal test, as well as some blood tests today. So I really hope we can get to the bottom of this so my poor boy can start feeling better. Thank you so much again for taking your time to write me such a detailed, and helpful reply back. It really does mean so much to me. I look forward to seeing your next video!! :D
Where I live both vets and ferret owners are very much against neutering I was just concerned with the hormonal implants that the ferrets behavior would be worse. Thank you so much for your reply want to be 100% sure what’s best before getting ferrets.
Can I ask where you got your beds for them? I've been looking for small enough beds like yours but Amazon and stores only sell dog or cat ones. My ferret is small so most beds are too big for her.
Hi!! I have loved ferrets for years! And my parents don’t want me to have one.... I was just curious if male or female ferrets are better to have? Or are they both great to have? My brother has a rabbit when we went to buy it they said males don’t go well together but when you have a male and female they get along. But to well (you know what I mean) P.S I love your ferrets they are so cute!
Hello pazuandfriends! I am planning on getting ferrets in the future, right now I'm trying to gather info and (money saved up for medical emergency's) I have a hard question and came to your channle for advice Question: Where do you get your ferrets raw foods meals from? Thank you for your time!
I have two questions, If your busy in the afternoon but you have time in the mornings and evenings will that be okay with your ferrets? And what is the maximum amount of hours your ferrets can wait to be played with again?
It's reccomended to free roam atleast 8+ hours! You can split it up but they might want to get their energy out while you are busy. I reccomend ferret Proofing some rooms so you don't have to watch them all the time
ive recently taken on two older ferrets from someone who was rehoming. I was so excited after watching some of your videos and getting an understanding of what having a ferret would be like! I was informed that they were very friendly but now that I have them here they wont stop nipping! Its never been too painful but I'm worried about them biting too hard one day and couldn't find much about bite training much older ferrets, do you have any advice?
I love your channel! I do have a question though. Are you allowed to sleep with a ferret? I asked it on the live steam yesterday but I left. So sorry if you answered it on live! 😅
hi, I'm a big fan of yours and I'm planning to adopt a ferret but I have a dog so it will only be allowed upstairs unless my dog is out. (my dog thinks everything/everyone wants to play) anyways would I be allowed to put the ferret in a cage for bed even though he will be free all day or will he not listen to me?
Hi uhmm I'm looking into getting a ferret and I was just wondering on what your opinion would be on the ferplast ferret cage on amazon for $311.00. I was just wanting your opinion on the cage to see if its worth the money? Also I love your channel ❤❤ I watch every vid you post
My ocd went through the roof when she made the bed. I’m that person that can only sleep when it is all flat with absolutely no wrinkles etc. I love watching all the cute ferrets though 🥰
Would love to let my 2 girls roam free they do have a big cage and are let out alot but if I just nip out my room they scratch my door.. Any ideas on how to stop them doing this
I still find it mental that Americans don't have a washing machine in their kitchen as standard. Literally not a single of my US friends owns a washing machine.
Nope :) it is missing some minerals, reverse osmosis is better if you can get it. But in our area it’s better than tap water. Our tap water is often contaminated
