Bryn. I saw on a website that you should let your ferrets out of their cage for 2 hours! I have been watching you for a while so i know that its 6 hours minimum. I was wondering since your an expert and have been handling animal for a long time that you should maybe try tell them.... I would do it myself but i dont have e ferret so they wont take me seriously. If your interested the website is called exoticdirect and go under ferret section. I think its bad that a public website were ferret owners can take advice from has such lies in it. ! Its a very serious matter so please consider it.
Hello! I've wanted to get a ferret for like 3-4 years and i'm finally allowed to get one!!! So i've been doing a whole lot of studying, but anyway i have some questions that i don't think you mentioned in any of your videos unless i missed them hehe 1.) Can you do a video on what your cleaning cage routine is? 2.) Is bedding or little blankets (or both) on the bottom of the cage better? 3.) What are some entertaining and fun games you can play with your ferret during free-roam time? 4.) Is me having only one ferret unhealthy? 5.) I'm going to keep my ferret in my room so do i need some sort of humidifier or need my room to be a specific temp? 6.) Is a salt lamp okay to be on when i sleep at night? 7.) What is extremely needed in a ferret cage? 8.) How can i ferret proof my room without needing to move anything round or doing any remodeling? 9.) Do you know any cut ferret names? 10.) Oh! and... 11.) I've been looking at some big ferret cages because my ferret will be a caged ferret (obviously it will have a lot of free roam time though) so it needs room to move. My parents don't want my cage to be super expensive because if something happens to it it will be a huge waist of money. I looked up the cage you have from you cage tour video but it is pretty pricey...do you have any other suggestions of big enough cages for a single ferret but not to expensive? I'm just going to feed no sugar ferret food, but is it still okay to occasionally feed them some turkey or ham or is that bad for them? Also, in your video on how to bath, nail trimming and ear washing your ferret, you said feeding them 1-2 whisked eggs afterwards is good! Is that what you would consider a change in diet or like a little treat for your ferret? hey! i have 3 ferrets and i can help:) okay so first, you’ll need 2 ferrets. no matter how much attention you give 1, it will not be enough and will lead your ferret into aggressive behaviors and depression. the best ferret cage is the double ferret nation. ferrets need at least 8 hours out of their cage a day. you could always look on craigslist or facebook marketplace to get one cheaper. raw diets are always recommended, kibbles will lead to multiple health problems no matter what . in the cage you only way to use blankets. no water bottles, just bowls. full size litter boxes with a step in part, and paper pellet litter. adopt your ferrets, never buy from pet stores. ferret proofing is necessary. they can and will get into ANYTHING. enrichment ideas: ball pit, rice dig box, water tub, outside time, treat games, lots of toys ferrets cannot have more than 2 baths a year, and only oatmeal soaks should be used for those baths one raw egg yolk a week per ferret, one tsp salmon oil per week per ferret
I know right I’m getting ferrets and I made sure to watch most of her vids to know wot to take care of them and do research and I think they should do that to they dint give them enough exercise and stuff

And when I go back to school my school will be doing online school so I’ll be home everyday to give it the attention it needs before I get the second one a few months later.

I completely agree with you not wanting to support buying ferrets from pet stores and supporting ferret mills and i completely agree on the bad things about those but what will happen when no ferrets are getting bought at the pet stores? what will the stores do with them? will the mills and ferret breeders breed them less? how does that work
Paige McCarthy, I agree i do feel bad cause i’m pretty sure they just move them to other premises and put them down/leave them to die , so not supporting pet stores means you are sort of “contributing” to the euthanizing of innocent ferrets , now i 100% agree with not buying from pet stores, and i totally support buying from a breeder or rescue , but that still stays in the back of my head and sort of disturbs me..

There's lots of things to ask! 1. Veterinary papers 2. Seeing the parents and heritage certificates 3. Diet 4. Setup and breeding facility 5. How often the breeder breeds their jills in a year (reputable breeder will let a jill have only one litter in a year) 6. At what age do they give their kits away?
I know that eggs make good treats. Is it a bad idea to mix some of the bone broth into the egg? Or the dry kibble with some broth and water to moisten it? Because i know fish oils aren’t the best. To increase the benefits of the supplement

Hello! I might be getting a ferret soon, I'm a little confused with the food they would have to get. I've looked online and I have not found a website or a video that explained when I should be feeding them. I see a couple videos with what you should be feeding them, although they're from a while ago and when I ask questions in the comments they don't get answered. I was wondering if anyone knows or can tell me when I should be feeding them and the best food I should be feeding them. Thank you!
A little late but a raw diet is best! Feed them twice a day, morning and night being sure to remove leftovers inbetween. Happy to answer questions if you still have them
Hi, at what age do they like to start playing ? I have recently got a baby ferret only very young at 6 weeks old from a local breeder, seems very scared and quite at the minute.
6 weeks is too young to be seperated from the mother. Youngest age they can be rehomed is 8 weeks old. Most reputable breeders sell them at 10-12 weeks. Did you only get one? You might've accidentally purchased from a Back Yard Breeder Edit: this would also explain why it's so scared. Its too young and misses it's mother and siblings
Umm.... it isn't black and white, they all have different personalities. You should meet them before adoption to make sure you are ok with their personalities
