How do you get the light switch removed I only see a screw but I can't get it pushed out. Is there still a screw under the parking brake? I am grateful for help
There are two metal clips on the right side, that keep it pressed against the left side, where there are two plastic pins that hook on dashboard lip. I bent one metal clip when I removed it, as you can see in the starting of the video. Use a plastic card as a wedge tool and try to get those clips pressed on the right side while pulling out.
Absolutely pointless video because the hardest problem is pulling this switch out. The difficulty is that one of the two metal plates on the right side bends outward, rests against the dashboard and does not allow the switch to be pulled out. It makes no sense to clean this panel, because you can buy a brand new one from Aliexpress for $20.
