what I used to do for my c and c cage was to put a king sized sheet in it, tuck the edges of the sheet in, and then when it came time to clean, I just folded the edges of the sheet in, and it picked up the fleece, hay, and other yucky stuff all at once, then I just brought it to the dumpster and dumped the bay and stuff out, gave it a good shake, and then through the sheets and fleeces into the washer! worked for 6 years while I had my guinea pig!

please can you leave a link of where you get the fleece for their bedding, I want to move them onto fleece since it's easier than shavings and then I think they'd start using their litter box.

I know hedgehogs are supposed to only have one level cages because they are clumsy, but I love this idea.. Does anyone think if I did this layout with a less steeply inclined ramp and higher walls along the ramp, it would be suitable for hedgehogs?

+Victorias Tingly Funland Yeah it would be! My cousin actually did the same thing you are thinking of and it is awesome! Her hedgehog goes up and down the ramp without a problem!

I bought one of these cages for my hedghog, as long as the slope and platform have walls around them, it's safe. Some Hedghogs can walk off if there's no walls.

You can use distilled vinegar to wipe them down, and I replace mine 1-2 times a year.

you can get them at any big store I think like target and fred meyer or whatever, I think their like $25 for a set maybe more, and for a cage this big you might need to buy 2 or 3

They no longer have a litter box because it took up too much space and they peed in it VERY often, I had to change it once a day. Now they just pee and poop wherever and I clean that and it doesnt cost me $$$

I've never tried it but I know you can take their poop that's outside of the litter pan and put it in the litter pan, which should give them the idea.. that's all I've heard

Alexandria's Animals Wow!! you must have a lot of patience. I can sew alright but I haven't gotten up the gumption to dive in on that stuff. lol :) Need to. I have 1 gp (just rescued him, plan to get him a friend) and 2 hedgehogs.
