I purchased the Toro brand grapple rake in 2010 and am using it to this day (as you can see). This is a little detail often overlooked, pay very close attention to the 'grade' of steel being used in the construction of the attachment. Toro's is made from AR400; very high quality. Many times, others are made from lesser grades of steel, which means it's going to end up bent and busted and will eventually look like a quilt of welding repairs. In 2010 I paid $1800 for mine. I'm sure they've gone up since then. Having purchased several Toro branded attachments over the years I can speak to their quality of materials and craftsmanship. I believe I shared a similar comment with you concerning the Toro machines themselves. I knew nothing when I bought my first machine in 2007; I think I simply got lucky in choosing Toro and not another brand. I freely admit I am a 'homer' for Toro. I have 10 years of experience to back up that belief.
Yes I think getting one is a good idea. I absolutely love it and my 420. I have always used the tracks that come with the machine. I have found them to be very turf friendly. On occasions where the yard is really sensitive I use Alturna Mats. The operator would have to be very careless or the yard in bad condition before you begin working for the standard tracks to tear up turf. I've been using the same tracks since 2007 on my 420. There may be other tracks available, check with the dealer to see what's available.
Excuse me. How impressive is that machine... I watched your videos. and. I see that this little machine is very good, how long have you had with that machine, greetings from Virginia
I've had it 7+ years. She's still going strong and I still love my Cadillac. It's very comfortable to use compared to other machines I've used. Very ergonomic.
Still liking your tx1000? Would love some feedback on pros/cons as I see you have been running one for a while. I am aware of the bugs they have worked out, but would love any insight you have. Thank me in advance!!
Please send your contact # and some idea of some good times to reach you (keep in mind timezones). You have touched on one of my favorite topics - Toro Dingos! I've been running them since 2007. My address is 'my user handle on RU-vid' @gmail.com I look forward to visiting. Seth
