I appreciate you sharing this. I recently bought property with a pond and I am trying to learn what I need to do to maintain/improve it. People like you sharing your knowledge are very helpful. Thank you
I absolutely love to watch you operate that thing. My daughter in law think I'm crazy because I love watching people cutting grass and you and the guy that grind trees. I think those machines are amazing. I love all things done outside, I love a clean house also, but love being outside, fishing, hunting, gardening and such. I would love to operate one of those machines. Blessings
Every time i watch you do a pond, it cements in my head how mine needs to be redone. Its 31 years old, and small pines have grown around the edges. On my wish list is a Kubota or yanmar mini excavator. And the place to learn how to-use it.
👍 Mother nature is always on the move to recover it's natural state. Anybody that wants a nice lawn, garden, or pond has to be vigilant with maintenance and upkeep. Nice project.
Hello Chris I've comented before I was a laborer for Granite Const here in Sacramento calif , I can relate to every thing you do I wish I was near u so I could help u out!!!!
Chris i gotta hand it too you man. The fact that you actually take the time to safely plan out your plan of attack and where you wanted too place your dead fall is really neat and tidy and very organized in my opinion that is ten out of ten in my books.
Looks like this will be nice after the work. Love these jobs, the before and after are awesome to see. F’ing genius idea using the thumb as a work platform.
Incredible job!!!!!! I’m glad you are clearing out all of the old dead crap. It looks very good so far! Funny that you chainsawed the pipe down and did not fall in! Great work!!!!!!!!
I think clearing is one of the jobs I enjoy watching you do the most. You are very mythological in what you do making it a joy to watch and mimic when I do similar work. This is gonna be a good few videos to come on this job.
Its like that machine is like his arm he works it with such precise sir I could watch you work all day . This is truly amazing. Thankyou sir for sharing your work. I could literally watch this all day long
I don’t know where you’re from, but you’re the best I’ve ever seen. I watch you for hours on end. New subscriber and appreciate what you do. BLESSINGS...
I'm learning from you... and about to clean out a pretty small farm pond that goes dry every year because the silt has gotten that high. Should be fun. :p
About how much.does it cost to have a old farm pond cleand up. One about the size yoit workingon today ? Im south east Missouri Im looking to buy a small farm/wooded area.
Word to the wise: For all those watching Chris do this type of work and think to themselves I can do that....homeowners-that includes you. Let it be known that I've only seen a few people who can operate the way he does. It's the result of many years of experience, operating, listening, and learning. Oh, and having the right equipment is a must. Equipment that is well taken care of and in good working order. Like he does. So save yourself a pile of $$$$ and a big headache, just hire him and get on his waiting list. You'll be glad you did.
Very soothing seeing Chris clearing that pond out. He lives close to me. If he get's that job at the Drive Shack I'm going to go out there and watch him all day...if he doesn't mind.
Highly skilled abilities. Would wish for just a couple of classes of environmental befits of decaying wood and root systems. I love watching the work of destruction and creation you are mastering!! ~Cheers
Chris, I'm still here years later watching, just under a new name. Formerly ; master shake. But when you mentioned crawling out onto the bucket to cut the drain with a chainsaw I was hoping you would get video of it! And as I was thinking that you were telling me you would be sure to! I love it! Thanks for the free content years long! Merry Christmas.
Midnight here in Denmark, and just seen another good video from letsdig 18 as I do every night. I want to know who's making the music for the drone so I can find it on RU-vid.
In my 68 years on this earth I have never seen anybody assault a 4 inch PVC pipe from the boom of an excavator twice. But it worked and that is all that counts. Thanks for sharing your video with us Chris. Ed
We had a dam with an island on our family farm. There was a big log for a bridge and the island had some nice warratah trees on it. Trouble was that the poachers cut the saplings off to use for fishing rod holders and just for spite. As a kid I loved that island and it was a great fishing spot, especially when you were allowed to catch freshwater lobsters. I see your point about maintenance though for an island that is in view all the time. Ours was in the middle of 1000 acres and we have wallabies that are pretty good at mowing grass. They also do it for free, just try to stop them! 😀
32:10 - 34:25 has some stuttering / frame rate issues. Y'all need to toss the memory card in the pond, bury it, and get another one. Maybe write on them and figure out which ones doing it. Anyway, my jawing aside, another great vid. That soft quicksand ground is creepy and weird. Thanks, Chris. Keep up the good work.
Hey operator? You have done that before, haven't you? Being a little sarcastic, meaning you are a very smooth operator. Nice work buddy. Whoever hires you is gonna get his money's worth.
I worked with tractors in my early 20's and I'd kill to be able to get back on them. I can tell you put in 10's of thousands of hours behind that machine with how easily you work it
I never knew that kind of equipment could do what you make it do. I thought youd be using a chain saw, lawn mower, and that sort of thing. This makes me want to see more.
I couldn’t help but to think how comical that would of been if Jason Works A lot had been there doing the play by play commentating while u was chainsawing the pipe ... hahaha
