This happened in one of mine, and it affected the fragrance. In fact, the weird (albeit unpleasant) smell of combined fragrances (I think that's what it was) is the reason I decided to clean it. I used a sprinkle of baking soda and a wet paper towel. Took less than three minutes.
Jessica Smith I just tried this tip and it worked great! Thanks Girlfriend for the tip my warmer looks like new! Definitely Subscribing To Your Channel!😀
Jessica Smith Thanks for posting this. I’m not into Mr. Clean ANYTHING (they’re all about the chemicals and animal testing!) so I tried this on a warmer my mother bought second hand that was all stained and dirty. Came RIGHT off with very little effort. Brilliant!
Wow thanks for the tip! A couple of mine are way worse looking than the one in this video and need to be cleaned badly! Lol. So do you scrub it with baking soda while it's still warm or? That may be a really dumb question but I have not had enough coffee yet. 🥴😂
Man! It was NOT quick or simple at all. It took a good 15 minutes to get it all off of a wall warmer. My hands are all cramped up, BUT it did work. Lol. Thank you! It looks brand new and shiny again.
Next time soak it in boiling water, be very careful it does get hard to handle! Use some rubber gloves, which I did not have...but the boiling water helped immensely! It did take a few soaks though.
Thanks so much for this tip. I almost skipped over this video and I am glad I took your advise. I always get a buildup of wax and cotton ball fibers. After I watched this video, I rubbed the crusty bottom with the soap. I then scraped what I could from the bottom and I was shocked when I started rubbing it with the magic eraser. All the built up residue started coming off...just like magic.
This worked!!!! Thank you Thank you! Thought it was the bulbs not heating up so I replaced them and still new cubes were not working like usual. Found your video and my warmer is as good as new💜
I tried this. Although it did work for me to an extent, it was not simple, easy and quick. I REALLY had to scrub for a long time to get it all off. So long in fact, I had to take a couple of breaks out of frustration. It made the dish look about 98% better, but never really ended up looking totally new.
Isopropyl alcohol and baking soda worked like a dream for me. Mine was literally almost completely black from buildup and I only used my finger to get it all off.
Mine looked worse than that, and I sprayed the Goo Gone grill and oven cleaner in mine, I came back 20 minutes later, and all I had to do was rinse it out and it looked brand new. I used everything I knew to use on it before spraying it with the goo gone….. I scrubbed it scraped it, and that wasn’t coming out. I was shocked to see how well the goo gone worked on it.
Nice video. I have a paradise punch brick and it's older wax. And when I used it. The warmer had stuff in it. Idk if it's because of the old wax or what...but the dish wasn't white. But thanks for sharing! I'll maybe have to look in into this! :)
Baking soda and dish soap paste, put it in, let it sit for an hour and then go in with a toothbrush or scrub brush that you won’t use for other purposes because it takes the scent on. Had to soak mine with paste twice. Takes a bit of scrubbing but mine was much worse than the video.
Thanks this helped out a lot you can also use brillo pads to clean them that's what I used cause my mom doesn't want me using them on dishes so I just found that and used it and it worked
Kimberly Pulito Independent Scentsy Consultant was told in our fragrance class at Boot Camp this can be caused from certain oils in certain fragrances. Mainly occurs in the white warmer dishes.
Mine looked like this, only worse. I poured 90% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol in it, let it set for a while (i forgot about it so...maybe 30 minutes?), came back and rubbed it with a cotton swab/q-tip and the residue came off. I poured out the alcohol and wiped with a paper towel. Voilà!
This was a fail, had to have my husband almost break his thumb with this method, because he had to use so much elbow grease for 5 min. straight. Then we used isopropyl alcohol and salt with a scotch Brite pad on another one and it came right off.
I was told by the lady on scentmyway Not to do this because she said that it would scratch the bowl? Thanks for the tip though I might have to give it a try. Love your video just subscribed!
