I had this done a couple of times last year and I love the results, but not the downtime. I think it’s money well spent, skincare will never give the same results. All my foundations are too dark for me now and my skin looks better without it anyway. Stick with it Dayle you will see the results as time goes by. I’m having it done again in April. Love it!

Thanks for showing this Dayle, I’m definitely doing some kind of treatment for my skin this year. This has given me something to consider. I’m no stranger to laser skin treatments & I’ve had some impressive results in the past (as in a porcelain like complexion when I was younger), but it’s time for a refresh, I hate wearing makeup so keeping my skin in good condition is a must.

I have to say this vlog makes me so happy! I love when others bring skincare to the forefront and talk about these treatments. As an esthetician myself and someone who also has melasma I can offer some advice. The Halo treatment from Sciton is by far my favorite treatment for melasma. It’s a tad more aggressive than clear and brilliant but it’s worth it!!! Also, Obagi Nu Derm also gets an A+++ for any pigmentation, melasma especially. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I am excited to see your journey!!

You look beautiful Dayle, your skin is brighter and the color is more uniform. You will see more results after all the treatments. I am in a middle of PRP treatments and my downtown is very minimal, just one day. All of us have different concerns for our skin. I have acne scars and PRPs have amazing results for it. I am too more accepting of my skin without putting makeup all the time, with age we realize that skincare is more important than makeup.

Hi Dayle! A very interesting treatment, from what I could see from the pictures, your skin looked brighter and smoother. I personally think you are already beautiful, inside and out!! However; one must truly look after their skin, especially living where you do! In Canada we don't have intensely strong sun like Australia, but I have noticed the older I get, (60's) the more I have had to moisturize for sure. Loved this vlog, thank you so much for being so brave and putting yourself out there to show us this!!💕☺️🇨🇦

I saw this one late but really interested to see how it goes longer term. I’ve done a few laser treatments over the last 10 years and it’s made such a difference to my skin and it’s resilience. I had melasma with kids and years ago I had terrible painful blistering rosacea. The regime of laser treatments (not this one but others) and some medication got me over those issues and now in my 50s my skin is better than ever. Who would have thought!? I was brought up in the up’s with coconut tanning oils. Took half a lifetime to reverse! Thanks Dayle, you’ll look more healthy and beautiful than ever.

After an hour doing the laser till about 5 to 6 hours, you will feel the pain when your face touches water and need to apply lots of cream. But after the 7 days your skin should be clearer and brighter. Good to see those results in you too. Yes covering up only do so much, deep cleansing is even more important.

Dayle what a journey thank you for sharing. It’s awesome what you can do to improve your skin. Well done. I’m a bit apprehensive to try anything like that. I have super sensitive skin & am usually as white as Casper the friendly ghost, that’s a result of SPF protection, long sleeves etc most of my life. You did look like a “crispy critter” for awhile does it feel like a “flicking” sensation, i.e. rubber band (initially)? Oooh you had yr very own “sandpaper” gate. Hope you drink loads of water everyday. I drink 6-8 litres a day (turning into a dromedary, but I never get the “hump” - except for Wednesday being hump day ‘n all). Hi Dayle! I’m doing the same treatment. Next week I have my 4th treatment. I do feel that it has helped with my melasma. I usually take Tylenol right before my treatment. My face usually burns for about an hour after. They give me small ice packs when I leave to help cool my skin down. I was also put on hydroquinone 6% twice a day. I hate the stage when the skin feels like sand paper, but I know it’s working. I don’t exfoliate until all the dead skin comes off on it’s own. If you exfoliate it off you may have a chance of scarring. The sun is our enemy 😢. I’m really happy with the results so far. I think you’ll be more impressed after your 3rd treatment. Keep us posted 💞

This was a really helpful video Dayle. I am a natural red head with freckles so the sun always gives me freckles but the age spots and dark areas was the worst as I aged. About 5 years ago I did 6 sessions of IPL over a year and it helped tone it all down. I also noticed my skin in makeup seemed more even. Now I do IPL once a year as maintenance and wear sunscreen 365 days a year due to the fairness of my skin. IPL helps build collagen so I also noticed that it helped with minor fine lines. I would like to try Fraxel because the results would be more dramatic but the downtime scares me and possible scarring or other issues. Can’t wait to see your future updates. Your skin looks beautiful 🙌🙌
@deborahcurtis1385
@deborahcurtis1385 Год назад
My sister is a redhead and had Fraxel done and it was too drastic. They punched too large holes in the pattern which shrank her skin surface too much. The skin around her eyes is so much more noticeably loose and wrinkled than the Fraxel'd skin, and she looks like she's wearing a mask. while it will stretch over time the look is far too radical to be comfortable. Be very very careful and only go with someone who is skilled with the much finer skin of redheads. Check the credentials and speak with qualified plastic surgeons and shop around. Your skin has a layer less than brunettes so be very wary. IMO.
@alexsmith2379
@alexsmith2379 Год назад
@@deborahcurtis1385 thank you so much! That’s exactly why I was always afraid to try the more invasive Fraxel as I have heard of horror stories.
