My friend @damageundoneltd does great work and I ask him to send me this video so I could show it to you guys! Hope it helps someone out there! much love!
My only problem is removing runs this big is that there is now a huge flat spot that is pretty visible as well. Nonetheless the methods are good and on point, for a used car I would do this. For customer car where texture matters, I would respray.
I agree 100%, I'm cutting it down with 600grit to start, staying directly on the run itself. If it comes out cool, but if I cut through I just respray. Working for a high production dealership we don't have the time needed to do what he's done. What he did do turned out really nice though.
Great video! I have used a similar technique over the years and that was with a powder guide coat. Lightly hitting the run and surrounding area with 1500 on a DA, apply the guide coat, then block the run out with progressively finer grits applying guide coat often to keep the visual aide and then finishing it off with 3000 trizact on a DA and then polish. Keep up the great work and stay motivated 💪.
As an amateur I see this and am impressed there are a couple of issues I've ran across that this would have been helpful and may still be in my future. Thanks for sharing it was clear and concise.
Great video, I saw this when Wayne first posted this on his channel, I haven't tried this method but using the uv products will make it easier and faster, thanks for sharing this Gabe 🙏👍 John UK.
Awesome 😎 video that tip was wonderful and so easy haha 🤣 runs is something we all ways get as painters but how you fix it make you a pro lol 😂 much love and thanks 🙏 for the video and thanks to Gabe the best 👍👍👍👍🤙🤙🤙🤙🙏🙏👏👏💪💪👌👌👌💯💯💯💯💯
A fine skim of fine 2 pack finishing putty works a treat, not that I've ever had to use it (ha ha). Wanted to ask, why the mask at 2:15 for the sanding ? Are you using prepsol type product to sand, or just water ?
It is out but I think it always looks false because you have a huge flat polished to death patch that's stands out from the OEM finish. Better to work on your application not to get them. I was always taught better a little bit dry that wet, coz you got a right job on your hands then. Anyway you got it out well done, Nice job 👍 #unclekeithspaintshop
Not to shit on the guy, but the technician wasted way too much of product and time on this run. I would just use sanding block with 1500grit and take that run within 20-30 minutes easy. If I couldn’t block the run out I would just reclear it and not wasting 2 hours spraying it with expensive primers and putting overspray everywhere lol I think the video is goofy AF! Thanks
