We opted for a heavier duty construction grapple and still have bent some of stuff on it. It still works just fine, but I’d definitely buy one that’s on the heavier duty side. We had the option of buying one almost half the price , but it looked like a toy. It’s our most used implement and I’m happy we went heavier. The sales guy recommended the lighter one because then we could lift more.
@Woodbrew I actually got both. I went with the root rake / clamshell type from the dealer and got a steal one a heavy duty one on auction. Each one has its pros and cons. I find I use the lightweight one most of the time, but I like them both.
