There should be some pictures since it was a "club house". To make it the same as it was once it would take a lot of people back to bring back the history of the property. The old timers should have stories and pictures of dinners held down there. Sometimes they had a trap door to get down under the floor. Hide the shine quickly or if they had some money. It would be so great to see it come to life again. You guys are doing a great job.

Does caps that you found near the chimney. They could be like you said for a cook stove kind. But if you look closely if they have two holes Eddie Chan they could be dampers. Where they control the airflow the smoke whether they want more smoke or more heat come out of that chimney for warmth!

I never get tired of seein you dig up trees and clear up things. I think it's amazing the history and stories that go with all the stuff that is uncovered. It will be really cool to see if you metal detect some old coins or find some other old and unique things around there. I thought i saw some spraying from a hose a couple of times in the video and thought OH NO, there goes a hose or somethin. Oh well, hopefully the fixes on it won't be expensive or take too long. I love historical things. I actually live in what started out as a train depot built in 1912. In 1960 they moved the tracks and ended up moving this place 4 miles from where it started and turned it into a house. So you see why I am really enjoying you sharing. Thank you.

You might consider an outdoor kitchen adjoining a covered patio/picnic area for family and church camps (if so inclined). However, that chimney might be a problem, considering its age and potential safety concerns. It's best to have a Mason/Chimney company survey to restore or replace it. Keep the tire as a tire swing...

The round metal discs you were referring to were on old wood cookstoves from back in the day. You may even find the handle in the fireplace somewhere that they used to remove them with.

I’ve watched a lot of operators wrap the bucket and boom around small trees and pluck them out rather than knocking them over. The tree ends up wrapping around the boom like spaghetti!

I love to watch you take the trees out with the backhoe!! My husband did that for years. He dug the huge holes to put 2000 + gallon tanks underground for service stations and Safeway grocery stores for their underground storage tanks for their gas. It was always amazing to me. I’m a farm girl and I like all your videos cause I no longer live on a farm and I loved living on a farm. So work away, I’ll watch! Blessings from OKC.❤

From the few metal detectorists I have watched, look for the trash and outhouse areas for bottles etc.

Love that area. It’s going to be so cool when u are done. Perhaps if a tree is too close to what u want to preserve; you could cut the tree off close to the ground and then destroy the stump with a grinder or burn it out?

I would pour an 8 inch concrete floor on the interior of the old rock base then build a large covered pavilion up to the chimney then fortify the chimney and build out your cooking space around the chimney under the Pavillion. The pavilion could be built out with round timber framing like you would see in the old state parks.

This is a great thing to find. When you use your metal detector go through the inside of the walls but also around the outside the walls about 20 or thirty feet away. Just a suggestion.

So it was the site of a still. The hills of Virginia and North Carolina, Tennessee, and Arkansas are famous for them. I hadn't thought about them existing in Oklahoma also.
