I legitimately shed a tear the first time I heard this song. Composed by Gretchen Ratke, it tells the story of Clearsight as she remembers her time with Darkstalker and comes to the decision to leave Pyrrhia forever.

My heart goes out and weeps for both Clearsight and Darkstalker. I wanted so badly for their relationship to workout. Both were born with great power, they were practically the fated lovers. But both became addicted to their powers and things spiraled out of hand. Clearsight was so obsessed with all the dark futures she wanted to avoid so much and Darkstalker was so focused on the one future in where he was happy, regardless of who had to hurt and kill to get there. If only Darkstalker could just stop and ask himself if I can do this with my magic should I? They both genuinely loved each other and I can’t help but sigh at Darkstalker for making all the wrong choices and sabotaging his chances of a peaceful life with Clearsight.

i have probably the most brilliant question for darkstalker...if he can see every future then why would he choose the one where this would be the outcome??? honestly it was never worth it in my opinion and blud really didn't care about family...

I'm pretty sure Darkstalker's ability to see into the future was not as powerful as Clearsight. He could not see everything that could happen, because that required much practice to develop that level of skill. As for family, he cared for his mom and sister but definitely not his father...@@tubbanubs

This made me cry. It's such an excellent depiction of what Clearsight was thinking after imprisoning Darkstalker under the mountain. If a Wings of Fire TV show ever exists, this NEEDS to be a part of it.

I am in tears - Cathryn Archer's voice brings this to life in a way I couldn't with just the piano. Her clear soprano is so utterly perfect for Clearsight's words. I won't lie, this ended up making me cry at the end 😭 Clearsight deserved so much better, I feel really sorry for her that she had to give up her soulmate and her life to save her birthland from her one and only soulmate. This should totally be Clearsights theme song if we ever have a TV series of it, it fits too perfectly.

I think the scroll sacrificed his soul. I don’t believe in animus magic eating away your soul but Darkstalker feeling he could do anything without consequences made him see the rest of the world as his toybox.

This is a perfect depiction of clearsight's mind after putting the bracelet on darkstalker. I don't shed tears easily, but this came really close. Darkstalker is my favorite book, and he is one of the best villains in any media ever. His bad actions were never drove out of anger, they were drove out of love and sadness. He solely became evil because of power. (Keep up the good work JMA!)

I never understood what happened. This gave me the info I needed... Clearsight wanted a life with Darkstalker, but after seeing what he had done she had to do what she had to do. She buried Darkstalker and flew away. She didn't want to but she beared the pain... She wished she had gotten to hold Shadowhunter, Eclipse, and Fierceclaws. She did what was right, though. This was amazing. This almost made me cry. I held it back because I am with my brother.

It’s so sad what happened to her, I can’t even imagine how she felt when she put the bracelet on Darkstalker. She tried so hard for so long, doing everything she could to lead her and her lover into a bright future… only to have to leave everything she ever knew behind…

This song brought me to tears because I really wanted their relationship to work out and have a happy ending for both of them together. Darkstalker got so absorbed in trying to make the happy paths happen and using his powers whenever he wanted. However, Clearsight couldn't keep her mind from looking at the dark paths and they both got tangled in the webs of the futures and their relationship went downhill. I keep thinking about what could have happened if it worked out and they made the right decisions.

This is such a sad song I literally cried for like 3 minutes after this song it basically sumed up of how clearsight must of felt after having to trap darkstalker under that mountain, I'm one of those people who imagine how it's like to be that character and I embarrass how they feel and when I did something like what I described I cried feeling how clearsight at one point didn't even know her own emotions on how she felt about darkstalker clearsight really needed a better dragon, not one who messed with her power to see the future and didn't put spells on her or make her confused with how she felt about darkstalker , I said this already but feel like clearsight deserved better having to leave her soulmate under a mountain but it was for the greater good but still, if that was me having to leave my girlfriend under a mountain like how clearsight had to, I'd trap myself under there with my girlfriend, at least when clearsight found a new love in pantala, I feel like there should be a book about what happened to clearsight after she arrived at pantala after she was able to save the dragons from that storm and we should get more details to clearsight though she was a main character in the darkstalker legends book, p.s. who ever sung this song is a great singer I wish I could sing like that

Everything mentioning darkstalker and Clearsights story makes me cry just like this song. Their story is so sad. Only if darkstalker picked the right path everything would have been better for pyriha but that decision darkstalker mad chnged the whole series❤

wonderful lyics from the lyricist; an excellent interpretation on the events that happened and how Clearsight must've felt. The bass piano notes are also set the tone of the song very well

This is absolutely amazing! True art isn’t just about looking good, or sounding good, it makes you feel something, whether it’s happiness, sadness, or any other emotion. The song and the lyrics perfectly fit the tone and emotions of clearsight, and through the song we can feel those emotions. Everyone did a great job with this song, I can’t wait for what you guys will create next!

First of all it was so beautiful, the singing, the artwork, everything. Also I’ve seen comments that asked if Darkstalker should have seen the futures where everything goes wrong. I think he was ignoring those futures while everything was still good and then as he used his powers to much, he thought that everything would still work out, clinging on to the visions of their happy family.

Wow I am one year late but just wow the voice is beautiful and the song clearly shows Clearsights's pain at leaving Darkstalker . words cannot express the love i feel for this song JMA and the WoF series as a whole thank you Tui for your work and thank you JMA for being an amazing creator my heart goes out to you all.
