We have taken many winter vacations to Clearwater Beach! Definitely beautiful, however we are seriously considering moving to Land O Lakes area. It definitely can get crowded in season!
I know im asking this on a year old video so not likely to find an answer, but im interested in moving to the tampa bay area for work, i just graduated college with a marketing degree (Its gonna be a rough one) and want to move to a beach city that still has plenty of work force. The one problem i have found with tampa is all the main beaches are 40-1 hour away if not more. Clearwater on the other hand is right across the way, still has a working force and seems decent. Long story short, is clearwater suitable for a young college student trying to start a business or career or am i better put in tampa and just deal with the commute every time i want to get some water time.
A little more about what matters would be walkability, how is it getting around to the night life or just to get lunch, places like downtown tampa are known to be good for walking, idk if the opposite can be said
Hey Juan. As I’ve told you before I moved to Clearwater from NY in 2019, kind of on a whim. It’s okay, but besides the beach I feel there’s not much here for younger people. Me and my wife are looking at Westchase and Town N Country areas to be between Tampa and the beaches. Thanks for all the videos.
I lived in Clearwater from 2017 to 2020 and absolutely hated it. It’s a terrible place for young professionals (i.e. under 55). You couldn’t pay me enough to live there again. To most, the only positive is the beach but I could care less about it and average a beach visit once every few years. Traffic on Gulf to Bay is often a nightmare in season. I’m in Channelside now and way happier (minus raising rents). It’s walkable, lots of younger people, more educated populace, easy access to everything etc. If I could afford it, Hyde Park is where I’d buy. Love that area!
@@MarioDeSouza I 100% agree with you on Clearwater, though I do use the beach more often. I was strongly considering Westchase area but actually decided on a nice complex in Largo close to Indian Rocks Beach. My current job is in Clearwater so for now that works. When I get around to buying I’d like to head to Wesley Chapel, I think.
@@ronnies6811: I travel a lot for work so I’ve been considering Westchase. While I like Wesley Chapel it’s too far from the airport. From a location standpoint, I like Ybor and the area around Raymond James but neither is great in safety, cleanliness, lots of young professionals etc.

It’s not an elephant, it’s not even an ant. I’ve been here 5 years and have never been approached by a member or met a member (that disclosed it a least). It’s had zero impact on my life.

Mom lived at clearwater point condos for 20 years . Stay far away from condos. If my father was well he would have never ever moved into a condo or into the heart of scientology headquarters. My mom's condo fees were 134 a month when she bought .they are now I see way over 1000 dollars a month . Her hurricane insurance was crazy expensive. Property tax can be way over ten grand . It takes hours to get anywhere . Crap public transport. Itvwas a money pit and the condos aren't even new. Built in the 70s . Stay far away from florida unless your a multi millionaire. Plus boring as #### it's not what it use to be in the 70s .
