My favorite verse is... Someone said they saw a man in a fur coat and fur hat push me out of the moving car and take his caddy back I laugh every time I hear that
He's not making fun of it, he's just twisting the lyrics for the humor of others. Not attacking soldiers like me. I can't believe how overly sensitive people are nowadays, it's getting pathetic when a man can't create a little humor without being attacked. If it's offensive to you nonmilitary personnel, well suck it up because a lot of us soldiers love it and it makes us happy. Keep posting songs of him and I hope he keeps making them because us at 186th love this song.
@donkadue I'd agree with you except for one thing-Cledus reportedly always gets permission before creating a parody. If David Ball approved it, I don't have a problem with it. If he did it behind David Ball's back, then yes, way over the line. But I highly doubt he did that
He would have gotten approval. Cledus always gets approval for his songs, there is only 1 parody he did that he didn't get approval for but it was accidental and due to some miscommunication and Cledus felt really bad about it.
I wonder just how many that posted here have actually been to Crowe Springs,Ga. How many know of this man's struggle to get to where he is in life today. I personally understand what he has been through and the tools he picked up and used to fight for life over death. He has a great sense of humor and if he steps on your toes maybe just maybe you gottem stuck out there where your knee's ought to be...give it a think
I've been reading all those immature comments... jeezz people, grow the fuck up! He is not disrespecting America at all; did you hear anything against the military in this song? I didn't, and I have perfect hearing. Cledus is a great man who really cares about America. Don't believe me? Listen to "Don't Mess with America". Still don't believe me? Listen to his spoken-word album "Things I Remember Before I Forget". He talks about how he turned his back on parody music because he cares more about his daughter.
I kind of agree but people need to lighten up and don't listen to it if you do not like it. He is just trying to entertain people. Turn it off if you do not like it. Gosh nowadays you can't say or do anything without offending someone. People need to grow up and enjoy.
If its to disrespectful then why dont youtube or someone higher up pull it off or block it? im not sure why everyone is raisin hell, ive watched this several times with my cousins who are in the marines and they have laughed their asses off everytime. cledus is like rodney carrington, he has a great voice, but he said himself no one would take him serious as a serious singer. so thats why i think cledus is doing songs like what he has been doin for years.
Lol, hillbilly. Tater. Learn to spell if you're looking to insult someone. Their opinion is very valid. A lot of people just looking to be offended just for the sake of it. These songs are awesome. Maybe you find Weird Al offensive and disrespectful, also. If so, find a sense of humor. Or not. Nobody else really gives a shit what you do or believe or find offensive
@jamieball100 You tell 'em lady! I heard the "Malone" version. It made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. I don't care for that anymore at my age. I can let steam off listening to this version. I did my thing back when the uniforms were OD, and listening to a-holes with no clue does get a bit old. But, what can you do with kids but try to educate them. 500 characters ain't enough. God go with you and your husband for the rest of your days. Tell him I say thank you for your service.
This is a good song....the original has an amazing meaning but Cledus meant no disrespect when he made this song...David Ball had to sign over the rights to the music in order for Cledus to make this song if he felt it was being made disrespectfully do you honestly think he would have done that?
Mychael Dark Correct but much like weird Al Cletus goes to the artist and get permission in fact much like weird al if cletus parodies one of your songs you’ve made it in country music
@@mrtoad8585 Mychael is mad,He is on about every comment so he can voice his opinion about a fat white guy making light of Tyrone...Mychael is no doubt black.
Funny, my friends made a cover about that song too, but it was riding with poonjob malone. It wasn't really good, it was just changing all the "private malones" to "poonjob malones". It was amazing though, because they would forget when to do it so they had to say "poonjob" really fast at times so you could hear the original "malone". I wouldn't consider it a cover, more like an improvement. Funny as shit though, wish it still existed. You just gotta hear it to understand it, and unfortunately, it will die with me, since I am the only living person now who has heard it.
@thedynawide Right, I could think of some other so-called "talents" that are much more disrespectful than this, people do them all the time, and I don't complain...
I love comical parody songs, they aren't intended as disrespectful. I love the original, and I kind of like this one... The one thing I don't like is that it sounds so much like the original one that it isn't as funny as it could be.. The tone of his voice is low and almost sentimental, so is the instrumental element. I can't get in a humorous mood, haha.
why don't some of you get a grip on reality . He sings comedy in all songs , doesn't mean he hates soldiers , is racist or any of the crap you think , It takes talent to do what he is doing , lets see some of you try to do it and not be offensive in any way at all .
honestly guys why are you hating anyone in this country honestly is this how people in the great depression got through i dont think so, now you say your a veteren then act like a soldier cause you should know that when you say "I am an american soldier" everyone has done their part and everyone has their trials and every dog has their day sok get along or it will come bite you in the rear if your a veteren act like you are. also, if you treated the "white" girls right they would stay with you..
i dont think that its offensive to anyone. Why exactly are our troops over seas when they are fighting someone elses fight. we are terrorists over seas in some countries would that make it right for someone to invade our country on ill thoughts , pre concieved notions, and old vendetta's? think about the politics on that one!
Nothing disrespectful about it, it's a parody, and a real gut busting one at that. Don't forget, David Ball had to grant him permission to use it. It takes nothing away from Private Malone, it's just a humorous version of it.
@@fallguye6011 From a legal stand point, he does not have to get permission to make parodies of a song. Parodies are protected under the fair use doctrine of United States copyright law.
He is a country version of "Weird Al" Yankovic. Didn't like him, don't like Cletus T Judd either. When you can't make it on your talent, make fun of other people's songs. I am not offended but to make a parody of this song lacked class and was tasteless.
