Hi guy just hopped over from Cleatus's channel and saw your piece on the sand rail...Nothing to do about that.>BUT in the back ground you have a Green K Gia.....I am a huge fan of the air cooled V W My first Vehicle was a 64 V W bus......I was 16 ....loved that thing and now i"m 64 and still love the Air Cooled So simple and so reliable Hate the modern stuff ....Everything is "Computer" controlled. Just wondering what year and what have you done to it.When i was groing up they always daid that the GIA was a Poor Mans Porsche...Could never afford a Porsche. so always had this going for me ....Had One in my life with a great engine and a short throw shifter and it Screamed ..T this day i still look for a reasonable deal but hard to find......Need to be 10 years younger....Have a good one guy's.
Any chance the batteries were for ballast? Trying to keep the wheeling to a minimum they loaded it up with heavy batteries forward of the axle to help keep it on the ground?
