NPC Advantages: no requirements. gardevoir (life dew), burners (drifblim, arcanine), and paralyzers (bellibolt, umbreon, and dudunsparce) help. sylveon (charm) and intimidators (tauros, staraptor) are useless due to the unaware ability. arboliva is harmful because it lays grassy terrain which boosts sceptile's leaf blade.
Strategy: cosmic power, draining kiss and/or moonblast until your stats reset. 2-3 cosmic power, 6x calm mind, charge tera orb with draining kiss. terastalize. use draining kiss when you need HP, otherwise use moonblast.
Notes: defense curl can be used in place of cosmic power. if you're worried about a critical hit with boosted attack on the turn after the statwipe where unaware is suppressed, you can add protect to the moveset. you can either swap it for moonblast, which will slow down the run, or swap it for draining kiss and repalce the metronome with shell bell, which will also slow down the run, perhaps less so, and reduce healing, but healing should remain sufficient.
Pros: supereffective tera type matching base type, excellent HP stat, good def and spatk stats, cosmic power buffs def, calm mind buffs spatk, immune to breaking swipe, no weaknesses. draining kiss and moonblast both have 100 accuracy and deal supereffective STAB (tera-boosted when terastalized) damage. draining kiss heals, and moonblast has 95 base power. unaware ability prevents dragon dance from increasing the amount of damage that sceptile can do to clefable (and critical hit resilience is massively superior to alternatives that rely on iron defense). metronome boosts damage by a factor that increases with consecutively used attacks (1x,1.2x,1.4x, ...)
