I definetly did too many bad plays like not taunting your caly turn 3 expecting you to play around it. The fact that my lugia is actually a 2hko onto your caly +4Spa vs +3spdef) and I knew it ignoring the caly in favor of bolt for my shifu in the back. That was the play that doomed the game for me as bolt was a non issue for Lugia there, should have ignored it. Goog game!!

QOTD: I want to see a baby Skarmory! Ever since its very first Pokédex entries it's been said that it nests in bramble bushes and that the wings of its chicks grow hard from being scratched by thorns, so it's easy to imagine a kind of grumpy Skarmory chick that's full of scars as it basically waits for mama bird to come home with prey. They also would have the perfect evolution method for it in "Level up while knowing Steel Wing".

I'm new here and I don't even play Pokemon but I definitely love seeing Aaron "Cybertron" Zheng climbing the regulation G VGC ladder and providing live commentary as he goes. Jokes apart the videos are really educative and wholesome with the nice comments about the opponents, looking forward to the next one
50:30 this is an excellent mentality to have for pretty much anything tbh and something I learned from playing fighting games the past decade and a half. So many people get stuck on hindsight evaluation of decisions like "oh if I just bait X I win there", or "I should just do X when they do Y because I win from there". Sometimes you're just wrong and that's all there is to it
Oh wow thats crazy, ive been running Clef and Calyrex a lot too in vgc, sing is pretty cool but i love running After You instead so now you can have your calyrex be going first alot under trick room :-).

That game 3 was a remarkable show of bad luck. Missing Sing 3x in a row by itself is only about a 9% chance. Using Electroweb into two targets two times in a row and missing at least once is about a 19% chance. That was really the only turn on which you getting crit would have been devastating, but in terms of crits, a crit from your Raging Bolt onto Chi-Yu early in the game would have been game warping in your favor so the odds of you not critting on that turn while at least one of Chi-Yu or Terapagos crit your Calyrex [and Chi-Yu doesn't miss Heat Wave on Calyrex] are about 8%. The missed double Protect, which also would have won the game, was a 66.7% chance of happening of course. Overheat connecting twice in a row is an 81% chance. Multiply it all together, and you had just slightly worse than a 99.93% chance to win that game with the strategy you used. This is very similar to the odds that, if you go into the grass in a modern game and have the Shiny Charm, that the very first Pokemon you encounter will be a shiny.
i think it'd be cool to get a baby duraludon. archaludon is bst 600 and it's like an honorary pseudo legend, so they could make it more convincing by giving it 3 stages for like a frankenstein psuedo
Game 6 just showed how new legends have power crept old legends. Lugia and Ho-Oh need to be buffed. It's unfair that Calyrex not only gets a 120 power spread-move but also a boost every time it defeats a Pokémon while Lugia can only Aeroblast and half its received damaged in the first turn...

My QOTD answer: None. They take up a spot and I'd rather have a pokemon with 1 evolution than a baby and 1 evolution because they can always add a new form in later gens.
Have people really thought about a two-restricted format yet? Calyrex is basically two of the top Restricteds now, but also the only two you can't have on the same team. I think there's something to this.
Easiest way is probably team reports. If the creator didn’t include it in the report, then the rental is the next best bet, if there’s no rental, then you’d probably have to contact the creator, assuming they’re willing to share
