I always wondered why he wanted to stay anonymous. I always thought he was maybe embarrassed and didn't wanna be associated with Ghost, but this really makes me appreciate him even more
24:25 That makes sense. I appreciate Ghost because I’m a big fan of Rocky Horror, Phantom Of The Paradise, Queen, Bowie…anything big, 70s, and theatrical. It’s good to know that there’s a contingent that has a similar perspective. Honestly, the Chapters are what got me to really give Ghost a chance. Thank you, Mr. Ursillo for your stellar work selling the band to the uninitiated.
@@ClergyTalkNo, no, I meant Phantom Of The Paradise, the 1974 rock opera with music by Paul Williams. I highly recommend it if you have not seen it. George Lucas definitely based Vader off the Phantom.
Great interview! Alan did a great job changing the way the Papa Nihil character emotes over time, from first admonishing Cardi for treating the Ministry as his playground (on that tricycle) to beaming with pride at his son finally getting the lesson Nihil taught him. Wondering who Sister Ash will land next? Maybe Ashley or Kevin? Would love to see them interviewed, too! I do hope Tobias plans to do more frequent Chapters after the success of Rite Here Rite Now. The Fandom is hungry for more laughs from the lore, and that would be a brilliant way to keep fans amused and entertained between tours, as opposed to Ghost just going dark for a long time until new music gets released. The warped chemistry between Nihil and Cardi would be so much fun to see more frequently.
This was my first time discovering Clergy Talk and I loved it and subscribed. Sister Ash you are an awesome host and interviewer. If Mr. Ursillo is reading the comments. Thank you for giving Papa Nihil life and an after life. Your sax solo is how I introduce people to the band that are unfamiliar with Ghost.
What a treat. Me and my wife have been Ghost Fans for some time. Our first Ritual in January 2022 sent us down the Ghost rabbit hole. 😂😂 Now we live there. The RU-vid algorithm suggested your podcast, and im so glad it did. Very amazing! Can't wait to see more. Thank you so much, Sister 😊
I watched the movie and was eagerly waiting for the Credits because I was hoping to see if they credited him. I was aware he wanted to stay anonymous, so I wasnt really expecting it... I was super excited to see that Mister Ursillo had been credited and we finally knew who he was (cause i also thought it might have been a different actor) and i have to admit I immediately googled him already on the way out of the cinema and found his youtube channel where he has like only two things up and the little short film where he also played a "Papa" giving advice to their son... and i have to admit, i did share that with tumblr. I'm sorry if the sudden attention is causing problems with his other business ventures or making him worried about his privacy... but i hope he gets more opportunities as an actor and whatever else he wants to do through this.
I loved the interveiw and love sister ash as much as I love ghost and papa nihil. Canada's biggest fan just got bigger great job sister and thank you for us being able to get to know Alan.
you're priest is based btw Alan and smart for putting it in perfect rational perspective for you some priests would just be like don't do it flea from this out of some misplaced sense of fear and i m glad you were apart of it instead of going down that route a lot of people throw away opportunities over irrational fears linked to religious beliefs and if you can be rational in your faith thats a great thing
He has a great view on art. I've been a ghost fan since I think 2016-2017 Cirice I heard I went yep I'm in. Being a Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio, KISS, Alice Cooper that 60s, 70s and 80s music I was craving. I was never into Nu Metal, Grudge. I liked Type O negative, lacuna coil, nightwish, blind guardian but as a retired haunted house actor from 98-2019, glam shock rock old school fan, Ghost was like drinking water in a desert beach. And even trying my own bands that failed.. Ghost was kinda what I wanted to do. I liked the humor, good clean singing, abba-style catchy-ness, spooky-ness.
So I’m wondering if the priest actually blessed the project, or gave the proverbial ‘blessing’. Because it would be amazing and hilarious if GHOST was blessed by the catholic chuch.
Or how about interviewing some of the amazing artistic fans whose artwork is featured on the official Ghost band website? There are some incredible Papa IV works of art out there. Just an idea for cool interviews. Shout out to all of the artists who shared their artwork: You are awesome!!
@@GhostifiedGhoulishness it’s in the works! We’re planning to ask a few Ghost fandom artists and cover musicians onto the podcast after our summer break. Thanks for your comment, and we hope you’re enjoying the gospel.
