A draft should be graded based on what resources were available to them. Otherwise the team with the highest draft picks (worst team in the league) will always “win the draft”

Exactly! PFF is the first non-Browns commentary that gets how you should grade a draft. I think drafting with the picks you have is how it should be graded. I give their draft a B+.

A draft should be graded retroactively in years following the picks. Your method seems to bring in many many variables both financial and roster pieces is very theoretical and just strictly hyperbole if you want to just look at it at face... I mean don't forget undrafted signed players to upcoming free agents. I totally disagree with you

@@Gobucksjb I agree with you. But then that means they shouldn’t make draft grades after a draft. And what fun is that? But to support your point, I totally agree that grades are not accurate until a few seasons after they were drafted. 😮

The browns also got Jerry Judy for a 5th round pick. Which they most likely wouldn’t get a better receiver at the place in the draft.

Mike Hall is only 21, 2 year starter, dealt with nagging injuries, etc. Weighs close to 315, ran a 4.8 and has the best QB pressure rate of any interior D lineman. Cuz unbelievable quickness like you said, but he's Larry Johnson coached who has unbelievable hands. Not only is the production they are given his snaps but the upside is very high. He dominated the Senior bowl and his nickname on the buckeyes by his peers was the mini Aaron Donald. Following his little bron nickname coming out of Northeast Ohio cuz he's such an athletic freak. So I don't know why you're bumming about this pick. I love it is a browns fan... He's not going to be asked to start he's literally going to be a rotational guy and he's coming in to a veteran room. Cleveland kid. Ohio State product and now a Cleveland Brown.

He just needs a good QB to throw to him, but Watson has ranked 38th in QBR over the last 2 years. Only averages 185 yards per game when he plays. not enough yards to go around for a number 3 or 4 option.

@draimonshepherd1791 fr this dudes low key tripping 😂 not realizing watson ain't gotta throw for 300+ with the run game and the weather element its normal for browns qbs to average ~200 yds a game, and regardless of qbr and all that bs A WIN IS A WIN save the other stats just give us the dubs lol

@@gagelemaster2775 Cle proved they can win with ANY qb playing last year. Flacco went 4-1 just like watson but flacco put up 323 yards per game and had a much higher QBR and Passer Rating than Watson did. And impressed the League enough to win a NFL award. a award that deshaun was eligible for after only playing 6 games the previous year. But for obvious reason (joe stats being so much better) Flacco got the award.

It's weird that people crap on their draft when they don't even know what their roster looks like. I would have loved it of they picked a LB early, that's my only issue with it. But overall they drafted for the future.

How many of these players are they actually going to roster given they have one of the best rosters in the NFL? This draft is more about 2025 and beyond.

The Browns created their draft situation, quantity is an important draft grade factor, so below average is probably right.

This. Thinking people misse the point entirely. As I stated elsewhere. The drafts were and are students. The roster must perform. Period. The UDFA must demand a space. Period. I like Aidan Robbins (Eddie George runstyle) Ahmarean Brown (Not a Jarvis but a Jarvis) and the many OL they plan on watching. That's exciting. They have something to prove as does the roster. This is a draft of students. Who'll graduate in a year or two...

Is it needed? I feel okay with the picks. The team is stacked with players in stride... a draft won't save us. Coaching and motivation will. The moves feel calculated. Giving each drafted played an opportunity to observe (outside of Hall, he'll probably be a go just because) positional players. Sht. I want Aidan Robbins to make the team see if his extremely raw talent can be molded. Yup. I'm more excited about the actual roster and the UDFA more than the draftees. I feel like they drafted students the roster must perform the UDFA must make a name. Feel me?

They have depth everywhere so we will see. Barry’s drafts are usually dogsht however he didn’t pick an LSU player and he calmed down on drafting mostly SEC players

Hmm. I think they like button-up (nerds even) guys with workable talent. Kinda darts at the wall type picks who have been in competitive winning moments. These choices are not flashy or consensus driven. But dogsht feels harsh 😅. About time they stayed local tho.

Explain? Or is this ranting? The current roster isn't HIS but why is it so complicated to see the pathway??? Were these the best at the position to draft 🤷🏿 but the understanding is clear on WHY they were. Explain. Enlighten.
