Sydney-born Oregon State product Travis Bazzana sits down with ESPN to reflect on an unlikely journey from Australia to the top of the 2024 MLB draft.
Bazzana shares how he found a love for the game as a kid in the Sydney suburbs choosing between cricket and baseball, the players that inspired him throughout his career and the standards set at OSU by a host of major league stars that drove him to elevate his game on and off the diamond.
The big-hitting Australian also discusses advice he's received along the way, what he'd share with his younger self, the Aussie character he brings to the clubhouse and shares a note he wrote in his phone predicting a future Australian national team lineup years ago.
