Oh my!...nah,..there are a lot of great RU-vid channels that make great videos. I do the very best I can but I seem to love watching other people's videos much more than mine. BTW,...your channel is gorgeous! I just subscribed!
I wish I could like your videos 10 times over, the quality of the teaser is outstanding. Watching on an 85-inch TV and two large subwoofers, the audio in your videos is from another world. Even Disney would not deliver such a quality.
Thanks, Cliff! Looking forward to it! I actually just saw the show for the second time in person tonight. The lights, fountains, and pyro are really, so well done. It's just the musical/show programming and arrangement that still has a long ways to go, for me, but I'm sure if anything is going to help me learn to appreciate it, it will be your production! :-)
Cliff, all of your work is absolutely wonderful!! Thanks for shining a light onto the beauty of the Disney Nighttime Spectaculars and bringing a little magic to those of us who aren’t there to experience it in person! Can’t wait for the premiere☺️
I was thinking today about how much I would love it if you created a video about Luminous! And not even a few hours later, I saw a pop-up for that! Thank you so much for making these high-quality videos. They allow me and others to relive the magic of the Disney Nighttime Spectaculars and cherish the memories of such beautiful shows! Thank you! I look forward to the video's premier and wish you the best!
Haha,...timing is crazy huh? Yeah,...I started the shooting work on this in Dec\Jan. The audio took about 10 nights to mix. The video cutting was another 5 nights or so and the color grading and mastering was maybe 15-20 days? I'm reasonably happy with the way it turned out. I hope you guys like it. I have been traveling like crazy and much of this was done in a hotel room on my laptop!
Looking forward to it, Cliff! I really appreciate all of your work and effort you put into all of your productions. Your videos are by far the best Disney show videos on the internet. I think I mentioned this on another video, but my family and I love to watch your videos synced with the Hue lights in the room! Combined with your incredible production, it makes it pretty immersive, and helps gets us through until the next trip!
DREW!....I was so nice to meet you that day! Man, I really hope you like it. It's so hard to judge if something is good or not when you are the guy making it! I have no idea if it will be! Haha
Hi Cliff. This looks amazing like all your productions. You are truly amazing at your art. Were both true RoE fans, and very excited for the premiere and hear your thoughts on this new show. I saw it for the first time in person 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the teaser. 🎉
Yes!!! I have been looking forward to you doing Luminous! Watched this show twice in person now and have loved it so much that I keep watching it on RU-vid live streamers! Can’t wait Cliff!
really looking forward to this, I really respected illuminations, but of all shows, this is a worthy successor. The personal storyline that takes your through life is a cool concept, and it feels very artistic that everyone may interpret each part to their own. I also really like how the new Epcot theme is brought into the show soundtrack multiple times throughout (and there’s that cool preshow-show transition). Overall really looking forward to what you do with this show, your work is amazing as always! :)
Great Clifflix!!!.. Multi-angle videos are great but the video from one angle only reaches the viewer much more with the necessary angle without forcing and with quality to be able to see the rays of light... I, for example, loved the one from "A couple of Park Hopper"... shame about the Japanese lantern and the torch in the foreground... but the quality and angle are unbeatable
Agreed - Watching it from one good angle is the most "natural" way to see it. However, a 50mm shot will show you a decent closeup but then you lose the higher fireworks. A 24mm will push your view away and give you a good sky view but then you lose the center. It's always a realism trade-off. It's true that multi-angles are an "exaggerated" way to see these shows. The same could also be said about watching a live concert recording or a live Broadway play too in a multi-cam edit....or even a live sporting event. Watching the Super Bowl from 24 camera angles is VERY different from seeing it from just the crowd seats.
Can't wait for this, looks amazing as always! I have a question, I hope you can help me. I see that you use tripods for filming. Do you ever get "pushed" by other people watching the show around you? I'm asking because on my channel I do a similar thing, and I frequently notice that if I put up a tripod anywhere (like where you are at 1:47), even hours in advance, other guests are pushing their way into me and trying to "get in the way" or "knock down" the tripod to the point where I actually have to get into an argument with those "pushers". I love to film so much, but whenever I'm in Disney and I experience this like almost every time, I am really not giving into it anymore. I don't know if you experience this in any way, but if you do, could you maybe give some insight on how to avoid this. Thank you so much!
I get shoved and pushed all the time. Last year, I had a guy kick my tripod as he winked and laughed at me. I grabbed it before it fell. What could I do?...Nothing. You just have to try again another night. Everybody walks around and it's often chaos. Nobody has any "rights" to get a perfect shot. I do hang a LED pen light under my Tripod so that people can at least see the legs on the ground. I also try to keep the tripod legs as close "in" as I possibly can. Keep the footprint as narrow as possible and spread YOUR legs wide so people can see where your feet are.
@@CLIFFLIX Ok at least I'm not the only one! People are getting more aggressive in Disney for sure. Thank you so much for the feedback and I'll try to implement it!
2024 is going to be THE year for me and Reflections of Earth. I have a lot of plans for making some new Reflections content that nobody has ever seen before. Yeah...along wuth a new RoE show edit, I will certainly be remixing all of those old audio tracks into a new audio master. A 5.1 channel mix is on the table. Stay tuned!
Hello. I hope you get this message. I would love to see you get over to Disneyland and do your magic on the Mickeys mixed magic fireworks show. I would love to see you do that!
I usually go to Disneyland every other year. WDW is my home park and it's only a 3 hour drive away. However, I'm taking a year off from WDW and Disneyland and using that money to go to Tokyo this year! Not sure what I will do in 2025 but I think I'll get my FIRST Universal annual pass in 2025!! I plan on doing Universal and Epic Universe quite a bit next year instead of Disney. I dunno yet,...It's too early to say but we'll see what 2025 brings!
Ahhh I’m so torn !!! Do I watch the premiere on my favorite nighttime show channel or do I wait to see it live for the first time in April ????? Ahhhh idk what to do !!!!!!!
I hear you! In my opinion, this show is better than "Harmonious" but nowhere near the level that "Reflections of Earth" was on. The "fireworks" in this show are stunning and maybe the best I have ever seen Disney do. I can't fault the pyro one bit. That team did a phenomenal job!!! That being said, this show has some serious issues with it's pacing (or lack of) and it's theme-fit into EPCOT. This feels more like a "World of Color" show than a true "EPCOT" show. I'm happy "Harmonious" is gone and I think this show, overall, is "decent" and "serviceable". I would LOVE to see this show converted back into a "Reflections of Earth 2.0" message and story. I think a show that tackles the universe's big-bang, the creation of Earth, the origin of life itself and mankind's eventual role here on this tiny blue "Spaceship Earth"....yeah, that feels FAR more "EPCOT" to me.
