It looks beautiful though on your skin. Just an idea, could you do one layer of foundation only? I always feel that youre over layering the foundation that it doesnt sit as beautiful as the first layer..

One layer will not give you enough coverage unless you have no blemishes or acne which is not the majority of people , shes getting the best coverage out of the foundation , there r some youtubers with perfect skin you should look them up .

I always like your foundation better when you say its too dark. When its so white it looks dryer and thick. Idk, maybe somewhere in between?

I am always the palest shade in foundations and always have had this problem. My guess is that the super paler shades are just harder make. When you are pale and go a bit darker in foundation, it can look could in camera but it’s always so obvious in person unfortunately

Camera lens can be very misleading when it comes to makeup, so we see things a bit differently colorwise than she does...

I agree about the shade choices. I'm fair, but I have freckles and I think neutral fair colors look better, but Clinique doesn't make it that easy to decide. A lady at Ulta recently color-matched me in Clinique just by looking at me. She said she has been doing this for so long it's her superpower. She gave me tiny jars to test at home. She was spot on.

Thank you so much for your foundation reviews. I took two rounds of Accutane two years ago, which did wonders for me. Only get a couple of little ones during that time of the month. But I have HUGE pores, scarring, very textured skin, and oily skin. I get so angry when these girls talk about how great a foundation is, when they don't even seem to have a single blemish, plus they do all of the filters. So.. from one beautifully real woman to another, THANK YOU!!

I haarrdly needed any foundation when applying it. It is matte but it’s one of those heavily pigmented foundations that after a few hours starts to breakdown. It sort of reminds me of the CoverFX Power Play foundation. Great coverage, heavy/ cakey look, oils break through within a few hours. I’ve been using the Cover FX as a mix in for lighter coverage foundations and it works well if I use a small amount.

I used to use Clinique for years, but, as I've aged, the tendency of the foundation to settle in and emphasise my nose pores really got me down... it really did improve my skin condition though!!

Maybe on camera it’s different than in person but I actually thought the colour match on initial application looked great! And the first layer made you look naturally flawless. Please incorporate one day of testing with just one layer! Would love to start seeing that. ♥️

I live in the Northeast and have a hell of a time keeping makeup from melting off within a few hours, but I can't even begin to imagine what you have to deal with in the South. You guys have my utmost respect and sympathy. I don't know how you all do it, but you still manage to look healthy and glowy even though you're basically stepping into a swimming pool everytime you leave the house.

I'd have matched you to Alabaster... This is my new favorite foundation, BUT, I recently started using Metrogel on my face, and that's made me slightly less oily, and it has taken away a lot of the texture on my skin. That being said, I live at the beach...in Florida...and I haven't had issues despite being a sweaty girl. Do I wear it to the beach? No! I can melt any foundation under a mask. Even Estée Lauder will run off of my face in the garden center at Lowe's with a mask on. I think, IMO, it's best applied light handed. I bought the concealer that went with it and loooooove it. You are hilarious, Cassie! Love you so much!

Hi Cassie, I just turned 60 but still have oilier skin. I use the FIT ME foundation in the Matte and Poreless formula. Works fabulous for me. I was wondering which foundation you actually like for your oily skin.. just curious!?

Yes girl. I sweat from my nose every single time I apply foundation on it. She (nose) freaks out and sweats until ALL the foundation is completely off🙄 so I’ll have a full face except for my nose. Now if I have my fan blowing on my face then my nose won’t sweat until I walk away from the fan. 🙄

I feel like I could wear 80% of those shades 😳 I haven’t worn foundation in over a year because of the masks but I don’t think I’d buy one that I couldn’t recommend to ALL of my friends of different skin tones. Cassie i bought the Estee Lauder hydrating foundation at Ulta. Twice I had to return since one was too light and the 2nd was too pink. I finally just got my money back since it was $48. They didn't have a color to match my skin tone. I used to us maybelline fit me matte foundation but it oxidizes in the bottle. So right now I have no foundation or powder to use. Since it is so hard to match my skin tone. I think the foundation was too orange for you. But with the mixing medium it looked good. But for the price it should last even with the heat. Thank you for the review.

I have such a tough time shade matching with Clinque... all the shades, even the fair ones, lean peachy/orange out of the bottle and then they oxidize even more orange on top of that! Though I usually enjoy their formulas, I finally had to give up. Their foundation is too expensive to have to fight it so hard. >_>

Everything you said was exactly right! I do like this foundation it lasts better than some, definitely needs some attention through the day with oily skin.. I need to get a shade a tiny bit more warmth in it though! it's too pale on me. But like everything I try I am never 100% satisfied, I always find something wrong with everything I buy. Cassie, I would love it if you showed your foundation wear test with using a powder to retouch, at least on half of your face. I have never found a foundation that doesn't need to be retouched with powder--even my Holy Grail Estee Lauder Double Wear needs to be touched up through out the day. I personally feel that's asking too much of any foundation, especially oily gals like us!

The orange is a thing I had tests watched on my wrist and they all turned orange it was crazy but I did find one that stayed kind of neutral but most of the fair colors all turned orange

Yes to the Wet N Wild tinted hydrator. I Would love to see a review! I came a hair of buying it, but changed my mind. I have a Maybelline BB cream that I despise, I'm STILL trying to make it work! Smh....idk why some of these products won't work like they promise to!! 🙄🤷😩🤷😬

The KVD Balm would be a great review by Cassie, @Thrift Thisk. They say the best way to apply it is very sparingly. @Tara Lynn has combo shin/oily T-Zone and it looked great on her and I think she did a 3 day wear test!! 😁🐝💛💫

Thanks for the review! Always pick a foundation from the swatches on the arm with the lightest complexion. 😊 On the spectrum of vampire - pale - fair - light, you seem to be to the left of light.

I have always found that any of the Clinique foundations always have a yellow-orange base color to them. Seriously. I was concerned about that when I was thinking of trying this out....although I don’t have oily skin the adverts on this foundation seemed interesting and I thought maybe 🤔 just mayyybe it wouldn’t have that darn orange tint to it but alas!! Yes it does ...not to my surprise. I was cursing Clinique out loud when you discussed the orange 🍊 color 🤣🤣 I thought at first (had the color been correct) it did look good on you. To me, when I see people who have a “heavy” foundation look... it’s either because they do have too much on OR the color is wrong and when the color has too much yellow or appears darker that gives the illusion of too much makeup. Try going and getting a match up and see how you like the results. I’m 47 and I have always had skin that had dry patches red patches irritation but now i have to really use moisturizer. To be honest for doing stuff around the house or running errands I love max factor infinite compact it’s a soft powder but gives a nice fresh look.

I thought that this foundation sounded good for my oily-combo skin. However, being menopausal causes me to sweat at the most inconvenient times! So, if this doesn't stand up to sweat, then this foundation may not be for me. I do have two primers that might make it last longer, though: Elf's Oil Control Primer Mist and Blurring Primer Serum. These two in combination can help a foundation to not break apart so easily. Hmmm... 🤔 I'm on the fence here... Thanks for another terrific foundation review, Cassie! ~ Anastacia in Cleveland

I wanted to try this out but Idk every review that i've seen this looks way too orange for me. I always use ivory or fair tones and for I've seen even the lowers tones look oranges.

What's your summer foundation? Oily skin as well. Anything sweatproof (hyperhydrosis here), holds up if it rains (not necessarily waterproof), transfer resistant (glasses wearer) and doesn't separate (again, oily skin)?!

Omg, hyperhydrosis for real over here. ESPECIALLY my face. I never meet anyone else with it. Have you ever used any facial anti perspirants?

@@rccrn0228 i got drysol (prescription) from my dermatologist. I've used it on my armpits and it's amazing. I don't even have to use it anymore. I use it maybe twice a year and i don't have to use clinical deodorant or even extra strength. She said i can use it on my face. Up until now, I've been too scared to for some reason. I've had it though. My son's birthday is tomorrow, so I'm going to wait until Sunday to finally try it. It's embarrassing and my foundation is always ruined! I'll keep you updated!

I think she posted that it was called mineralized by cirque colors; I haven’t tried that nail polish brand but I think she mentioned in a previous video she likes it.
