@RPM3 what you say sounds almost as if your mother says to you "You would serve better as a doctor". We can serve in many ways, and usually in ways that life lead us to, sometimes unpredictable ways and sometimes improvised ways. I think we all, in certain points of our lives, have wondered "what if" but that doesn't mean we are doing the wrong thing. We are doing something that has to happen at that precise moment of our life for a bigger purpose, a purpose that maybe we don't know yet.

I just don't get it and never will. I'll never understand why Dolores Hart threw it away to join what's really little more than a self depriving religious cult. She coulda served God so much better as a high profile movie star spokesperson.
I am sure she would not agree with you. She did not throw anything away, she did exactly what she wanted. Serving God is not a cult and she would be angry with you to say so.
I feel like religion is a trap....believing in a book which is so warped & ambiguous, the contents could have been edited & twisted to suit that type of a mind. It's best to weigh all the facts before spending time worshipping myths & making choices that would affect your life forever.
