I wish you showed the top stitching and rendering. What did you use fir the band collar to make it look realistic? Did you use Additional thickness rendering? Or did use 2 layers.

Thank you for your feedback, I will consider making updated version of this method. :) The band collar is two layers.

Hi! Im a beginner and your videos have been helpful, i just drafted my first shirt on clo, for the collar i only have one fold line but i increased the rendering thickness to 2mm and i was pretty satisfied with the result, is that too crude of a solution? Im still not sure what is "normal" to do and what isnt, so much to learn...

Thank you for your comment. I think it is difficult to define what is ‘normal’. It depends on your preference. I do all folds with 2 internal lines, I prefer that look. In my opinion it is also better approach if you plan to export the 3D garment and use in 3D viewers or other software. But plenty of people use the 1 line and are satisfied with the result. The most important thing is to know the options and choose based on a situation. :)

@@digitalfashionsalad Thank you for your reply! I studied fashion design originally so im still learning to appreciate the subtilites of 3d objects and renders, what attributes are important for which purposes etc, it's fascinating

@@digitalfashionsalad now that ive started doing a few renders, im finding that two fold lines do look better! 😊 thank you🙏
