Website Version - superbestfriend... Spooky Fact - Before Let's Playing, Pat often dreamed of using his natural physical abilities to become a Scissorman a few years ago. But he found it was a lot of work. Intro by: lord-phillock.d...
NR Rowley True, but that would all depend on from where you travelled. There are tons of straight lines that can be drawn directly between England and Norway. You'd have to be quite far North in Norway to, with a straight line, have to go through Scotland first.
Listen! People! There is no Pyramidhead! There's just a super strong dude with a Pyramid shaped helmet going around murdering things with a massive sword. Glad we cleared that up.
Yuri Lowenthal is like the Nic Cage of voice acting. he will never turn down a role for anything ever, no matter how bad or great it is...and thats why we love him.
+Stone Cold Clem Because he's immortal. Honestly, they don't have a hard time getting away at all, just click a bed sheet and they'll completely wreck him. Seriously.
+Stone Cold Clem Because Scissorman cheats almost as good as Pat. He jumped out of a locked locker at me once I opened it and stabbed me before I could figure out how to put the key away and run again lol. He can pretty much pop out of almost anywhere for no explainable reason
Clock Tower for the Super Nintendo: £25 Adopting a rescue dog: £135 Giant Scissors: £100 Taking four young girls into your mansion to be murdered by your freakish children: Priceless For everything else, there's the right oil
+CG News and Reviews If it's any consolation, the original Clock Tower looked _so much better_. While I think around the PS2 era we came to a point where 3D graphics could particularly age well even if they aren't hyper-realistic, a lot of 16 bit games _still_ manage to look good today. (And even as among SNES games, Clock Tower is one of the best-looking I've seen.)
What the dog meant: "You are infirm, and cannot face this evil! I shall grant you a more merciful death than he. May you go with peace to the Great Yard in the Sky, there to run free for eternity." What was heard: "BARK BARK"
Matt, Pat there was a Scissorman in Clock Tower 3! There was even a Scissorwoman! There were *multiple* enemies in that game. You guys just played the very begining a few Shitstorms ago and never got to see them. I now demand a full LP of Clock Tower 3 in the near/distant future! Please...? It's pretty cheesy, but it's a fun game that I'm certain you guys can enjoy. :)
L96A1Pharaoh It is one of the silliest horror games I've seen, but somehow it holds a special place in my heart despite it's glaring flaws and painful acting. I'd love to see the Best Friends go at it. XD
Heyyy. Scissorman lives in the same city as me! The map screen of Oslo was even very vaguely similar. I'm gonna tell my local friends Tim, Buck, Melanie and Chad all about this fantastic game.
Ah, Clock Tower, the tale of a poor misunderstood soul who just wants to cut the loose threads in people's clothes, but they keep misjudging him by his appearence and escaping, forcing him go to such great lengths in his fashion driven mission, selflessly never giving up, all just so that those cruel, ungrateful monsters don't look too shabby while he stabs them to death.
+ChrisCarTheMarauder FF14: A Realm Reborn was free to anyone who'd bought the original game. The Taken King is DLC, and they're charging you to fix their video game embodiment of blue balls. please purchase and enjoy a refreshing can of Red Bull™ to unlock more Destiny content
+Krawtch I would like to pose an argument here without resorting to name calling. As someone who played Destiny week one, getting to level 29 light level and is still playing now in Taken King the game does not deserve as much hate as it does. We can go back and look at the all the cuts that happen from the story line and the rumors of how the people writing the story were laid off and they put a band aid on it by making you read collectibles on-line. But one thing no one can front is that Destiny has always had good shooting gameplay, I have never run into to someone saying the shooting was broken. I play destiny because I have a large group of friends who play the game and it is fun with them. As a long time WoW player and huge raider in Cata and WotLK I was disappointed by the raid Vault of Glass when it first game out, most of the bosses were just bullet sponges and it just depended on your dps. Having done the King's Fall raid I was marveling at the mechanics. It felt like a real MMO raid where communication was the real key. Many people at Bungie have admitted to the mistakes they made around year one of Destiny but there is a rumor that Activision at the time said they had to release at that Q3 because they were already taking up so much time and money. Is that an excuse no, but it is a reason for the games poor launch the difference is Bungie stuck with the game and decided to improve upon the game instead of leaving it for the wolves. Also right now if you don't already own the game you can get Taken King, plus the other two expansions for 60$ or the base price of the og game. It does suck to be there day one when the game came out but I am proud to say I was there because there was so much fun to had with Destiny day one. The reddit community for the game is amazing and put the time in to keep up with the game, now Bungie is returning the favor by giving the players some real lore and story which people are turning into animations. As of right now Bungie announced that they are introducing a small micro transaction where you can buy new emotes and cosmetics so that for the rest of Destiny 2.0 mission, raid, and pvp content will be released for free to all players off the tip jar that is microtransactions.
Now seems like the perfect time to announce my new RU-vid channel: TheSw2tcher. I post all the Best Friends videos, just without those pesky ads. Matt and Pat didn't say I could do it, but it's fine, because it's a victimless crime.
I remember when those murders happened. Jennifer and her friendse got adopted when dan scissorman attacked them in september. i personally thought the killer had bad timing. The scary month was right around the corner.
100% agreement here. ANY time that someone uses the bastardized Engrish version of a name that's CLEARLY not a Japanese word, I get furiously angry. It's GUTS, not Gatsu. It's Eren Jaeger, not Eren Yeager. It's Edward and Alphonse Elric, NOT Eduwardo and Aruphonse Erurikku. IF THE AUTHOR WROTE A NON-JAPANESE NAME USE THE FULLY TRANSLATED NAME. Obviously this doesn't extend to puns (Boruto, Sarada, ANY DBZ character, to some degree, such as Vegeta not Bejita, Trunks not Torunksu). But for NAMES that are not Japanese, that's the rule.
***** Oh God, I almost forgot about that one. Though to be fair, I seem to remember the credits of Hellsing Ultimate referring to him as Arucard, even though the dub and the case say otherwise.
I played this game once, and thought the best idea to avoid the Scissorman for the first time was to go out the goddamned front door like a normal person.
+DIO's Scary Monster and THE WORLD Warwick Davis all the way! I mean, the guy was not only the Leprechaun in, well... Leprechaun but he played an evil circus freak named Plates who flung plates at people to kill them! He's PERFECT for the kind of silly shlock that would ensue from a Hollywood adaptation of Clock Towel. Peter Dinklage just isn't fun enough.
I wish this concept was explored more in games. the idea of playing a slasher movie without it becoming an action game is just awesome. yes I know there's that one game but it's not like we only have one racing game and one shooter at a time. I wish "slasher" was a genre of game. I would love to see a clock tower inspired game but with a human killer. a killer who is actually following a path and moving around the map and setting traps. hell, imagine a hitman blood money type game where you are just a regular guy and the "hitman" is playing the stealthy, disguised, kill everyone way. suddenly every npc is a source of anxiety and it's a balance of trying to find people for protection and trying to avoid them out of fear.
You can play as Jennifer instead of Helen if you choose not to let Harris take the statue to Rick. And depending on how you play the game, the Scissorman can turn out to be like one of 3 people. At least there's replay value. Clock Tower 3 had a Scissorman later on. He was just a Chinese Kefka cosplayer named Ralph with a similarly dressed scissor-using twin sister named Jemima, aka the Scissorwoman. It was... weird. Clock Tower 2 was completely bereft of a Scissorman, though. Just a zombie virus and some jackass in a hannya mask.
Actually Clock Tower 3 did have a Scissorman. Two in fact. The scissor siblings. There were a bunch of villains in that game with the hammer guy being the first, some crazy guy who literally dunks people into acid barrels, including ancient uncle grandpa napolean man who transforms your house into a spoopy clock tower after murdering your dad for not being a magical girl. The game is weird....also the baddies become powered up versions in hard mode iirc. 2 iirc has no scissor tmk though Also as far I am aware scissorman themself isnt magic or anything so there's no reason the dog should have turned evil there. That is literally bullshit lol
+ericmercado19 As much as I want to see that, I don't think it would be good for this channel. All of them but Pat(and probably Woolie) would get bored of it and start making bad commentary.
+Taizo Hori Yeah I remember that video funny thing is that is what got me to try persona 4. The only bad thing about the video is they never touch the combat.
I remember this game being super good. Then again I've always loved these cheesy survival horror games that are super vague. Extermination was a guilty pleasure of mine.
Man I've been watching this channel so long that I'm spotting things like stock sound effects. It's driving me insane how the door opening and closing sounds are JUST Silent Hill door noises.
It's like I said before the Scissorman is Bob Hoskin's Smee toy from the Hook series. He came with a giant pair of scissors for cutting Lost Boys in half!
Play through maybe? The game has qualities good for a series. Somewhat complex areas with a goal that Matt and pat would stumble around for half an hour trying to do. Decent suspense from scissor man and weird shit like that fucking note to enjoy
I've always believed that the scissors THEMSELVES were the ones affecting everyone, it's always the one explanation that made the most sense to me over the few games that actually connect (all of TWO games that is)
That anti-piracy message was very common on PAL games. It wasn't even specific to a publisher; I think Sony themselves put it on a bunch of stuff. It was common enough to be burnt into the brains of British PS1 owners.
+HarpsiFizz Actually the creators of the original Clock Tower are currently doing a spiritual successor called NightCry which will feature a scissor woman (Scissorwalker) was the main antagonist.
+HarpsiFizz I'm now gonna seem like a dick (sorry) but CT3 actually has that albeit it also has a scissormMAN (they're twins), there completely different to the scissorman your used to though because, as far as I remember, they're sort of chatty harlequin esque characters, they're not even short.
