Have you ever considered running a toilet auger through them traps after you bust them open? i do that to mine and it both pushes out the heavy on the bottom and the grease layer on top

The best part of this is I don’t have to smell it! The second and most important part is someone else is doing it! You need to use a knee mat or gel pads. You and most importantly your knees will thank you later in life!

That clamp needs to be put back on the water supply line. That is a dangerous situation that could cause an electrocution if there are other defects in the wiring. You need to call that guy back and have him get that fixed.

@@plumbcrazy375 You know that here in Omaha, Nebraska in 45 years I have never come across one of these types of traps had a few drum traps ..It's always been a pipe clean out or remove stool or cut a pipe or drill a hole in the pipe. Never this easy..

I'm in the suburbs of St. Louis and I don't have a trap like that. However, when my place was built, some moron decided to only put a 2 inch pipe for handling two bathrooms and the kitchen sink drains AND put the access point facing AWAY from the closet door, so you have to punch a hole in the wall to get to it.
