At first glance, the typical user couldn't really see any evidence of a clog. Now the owner of this Tineco will have a video showing how to disassemble and clean this vacuum.
This video and the comment section are so helpful! I didn’t realize you could actually submerge the filter to clean it, and also didn’t realize it came with a filter cleaning tool. Wondered what that weird attachment was 😅
fyi instructions are clearly in the owner’s manual. what it doesn’t tell you is that inner filter has to be cleaned very frequently - i flame mine almost every 2nd or 3rd use - about 60 to 90 minutes
Your video was very helpful. I learned two things, one is that I don't have to open the bin to clean out the filter. And, secondly, I should always be checking airflow before I begin vacuuming. Unfortunately, I have a multitask power brush roller with a badly soiled plastic cover. I am trying to figure out how to clean it. Thanks.
might sound strange but to clean my A10 Hero filter I actually use Maguiers heavy duty cleaner its made for cars but breaks down dirt and grime incredibly well so much so that my filters almost look brand new afterwards
I’m surprised the owner didn’t use the included filter cleaner. It’s one of the best things about Tineco. I do have to brush off my filter about weekly.
Thank you for making this video! My vacuum is working like new! I don't have the manual but I actually had the extra filter and the attachment to clean it. The old filter was much worse than the one you had, so I just threw it out. I will make sure I clean the new one regularly. Thanks again dude, I owe you a beer 🍺
lol i’d check replacement part prices and hassle of ordering before just throwing it out - filters were made to be cleaned and reused many times over tho
@@djcj2626 that’s awesome sounds like a win for you after all - i like the vacuum however it kinda needs to be handled with kid gloves as the plastic doesn’t seem very thick where the attachments mate etc - good luck !!
Helpful -Thankyou! Did you just let the filter air dry? Could not I use my hair dryer in cool to speed that up? What's you're recommend stick vacuum for med pile and hardwood combo for best clean?
The suckiest thing about all stick vacs that aren’t a Dyson (as they have really good prefilter cyclone systems) is this- this pre filter needs to be cleaned every two canister dumps. So, 1/3rd of of my use of this otherwise wonderful tineco vacuum is cleaning the pre filter. I thankfully have a model that includes the “filter cleaner” which basically swaps dirt between your two filters it comes with. It’s laughable, but it works.
Yes we find that the filter cleaner works surprisingly well, most of the dirt actually ends up in the basket not on the other filter. If you use it more than once on each filter they BOTH get cleaner.
This is why cordless stick vacs need a good cyclone system more than even a full-sized machine. People who use cordless vacs often like your friend do so for the convenience, and having to wash the filter more often than once a month doesn't cut it. I don't know why Tineco opted for basically nothing beyond the steel shroud in terms of finer cyclonic action (even though they include their bizzaro filter cleaning attachment) - even my cheapo Eureka Stylus has a decent dual cyclone setup.
The filters inevitably gradually clog up over time and eventually cannot be cleaned, so getting them as clean as new is basically impossible. Still, brushing off the outside, and soaking them in warm water for a few hours really, really helps, as does rinsing off the outside with warm water, and then drying thoroughly.
I've never encountered a filter that couldn't be cleaned and mostly brought back to useful life. And I've made a large number of videos proving this over the years.
@@VacLab Well, we frequently used the Tineco cleaning device, we washed them thoroughly, but in the end (after several years), we still got the blocked indication. Then we got new filters and the blocked indication went away. Filters do have a finite (if long) life when properly taken care of. Presumably eventually enough debris gets tangled into the filter and it won't wash out.
It's possible you may be over-using this vacuum. The original owner still has this machine and is still using the original filter. Stick vacs should only be used for small, infrequent sessions and never as a substitute for a full power upright or canister. In the worst cases of abuse, which I see frequently, the filter must be submerged in a mild detergent for up to 24 hrs, then quick dried with heat or direct sunlight. I've made many videos showing this procedure.
amazing how Tineco got to this success and advanced cordless vacuums with this kind of filtration design. in fairness, Dyson has similar filtration in the V6 or V8 but that's old and Dyson moved on.
quel tipo di filtro va lavato sotto acqua corrente e usarne uno di ricambio e quello lasciarlo asciugare, inoltre va lavato anche l'altro filtro, in alternativa si puo ascigare col phon.....
Hi Bill Great video. I would had not looked and found that filter😭🤣😂. We used to love our tenico vaccum like the one you problem solved. Ours runs for like 30 seconds then switchies of now continuesly I'm stumped. Any ideas would be great 🙂👍.
Use the part that comes with it to suck the dirt out of it then use the second one that comes with it. I do mine after every second use but mine still won’t pick up
Having the same issue with my S10, mine has the clogged air channel light on. I've tried cleaning the filter, made sure all the clogs were removed but it's still showing the clogged air channel light and turning itself off after a few seconds.
@@VacLab I've taken the whole thing apart as shown in the video, cleaned out the filter like you did and even removed and cleaned out the filter that is on the back of it. There's no clog.

@@VacLab unfortunately I don't think it is, also the one I got is different from the one in the video. Same brand but it's the S10 series. My roommate got it from his Grandma a while back. I've been trying to get up to work and from the looks of it, it just seems like the filter that goes in the bottom just clogs up really easily. Like insanely easy. Either that or my carpet just has so much dust in it that after vacuuming it for only a few minutes it clogs it up.
I have one Tineco S12, been owning it for 2 yrs now and absolutely hate it... should've just bought another Dyson This thing lose its suction like every 20 mins, need to clean up the filter (replace) at least twice when cleaning my house I do not recommend Tineco, if you don't have the money for Dyson then get something older like V8 not Tineco
That bad? :O I am looking at a Kärcher VC7, and from what I gathered, it is very similar to tineco - although they say it uses cyclonic separation. So should I stay clear?
I bought a tineco pure X1 and the brushes will not spin. Got a new cup or the wiring is Switched all the parts and it still won't work anybody got any suggestions?
I literally did all of those things, and it's still not working. I thought you'd show me how to pull it apart to find the hidden filter behind a removable one in the handle. I did that and still have issues.
Mine broke in a week cleared everything just get a red light flashing on the battery. Had dysons for the last 10 years they never broke down I just replaced for new.features. I guess there is a truth to you get what you pay for.
