The first two episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch are out on Disney +, and it seems like we are finally getting the story of why the Clones largely disappeared after Order 66. With the advent of conscripted stormtroopers for the Galactic Empire just around the corner, we ask the question: Which is the better trooper? Clone Troopers vs Stormtroopers, there is a right answer and it’s not close. Plus lots of Star Wars canon connections (especially connections with Clone Wars and The Clone Wars) and of course Tarkin is still goofing around on Kamino. Max Scoville would be honored if you would join us...for some IGN Canon Fodder.
In The Bad Batch trailer and The Bad Batch Teaser, there was no mention of The Bad Batch Order 66, but now on Disney Plus, Star Wars The Clone Wars will conclude in The Batch Batch series with characters like Omega, Echo and others we recognize from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The Bad Batch is one of the newest squads to Star Wars. Theory videos like this one are useful to fans of Star Wars. Explained here are questions about The Clone Troopers, Clone Wars, and even a single clone trooper.

Clones are too expensive to maintain, and it would've been impossible for them to produce them enough to maintain order throughout an entire Galaxy lol. Keep in mind, the republic was losing the Clone Wars for the majority of the conflict until the Dookus death.

@@themelon_1785 "This is the empire we're talking about" exactly, which is why it makes sense that they didn't invest into an army that nearly bankrupted the republic when they fought to maintain the quarter of the territory the Empire controls. Your elimination of the aging process idea is intriguing, but that doesn't address the cost of creating a clone army. The republic didn't have a single clone die of old age, just the troops themselves were too expensive to maintain on a galaxy-wide level.

you dont get it do you, 1. Clones were expensive and took along time to train. Sure the empire wasted its budget on two death stars but still, its some viable reason 2. At first the empire thought it didn't need an elite army as there was no extreme opposing galactic power to fight with. stormtroopers were much more in number than clones and they could patrol and guard the empires planets for a much easier cost. 3. Clones were susceptible to corruption if someone could hack into their chips. you don't want your former allies betraying you like the clones did to the jedi

Storm troopers are an elite force. They'd wipe the floor with clones if you really want to consider armor, weapons, vehicles and personnel. Clone troopers don't have shadow forces that can go invisible. And the Imperials have much better jetpack troopers. The movies have to nerf stormtroopers because if you've played any star wars game, you'd know they would destroy any other army type going toe to toe.

It's because they're throwing most of their budget into the Death Star. It's why Thrawn fought so hard for the TIE Defender project. 6 squadrons of Defenders would have been more tactically advantageous compared to 20 squadrons of Fighters.

It's the visor. First and foremost, the Clone visor is larger, so it isn't obscured by their HUD. Secondly, Clones are genetically engineered to be the perfect soldiers. Third, the Clones have far greater experience than their successors, having defeated an enemy far more powerful than the Stormtroopers could handle. Some believe that the Clones ability to improvise makes this easier for them.

They didn’t exactly win it fairly since the CIS was told to go easy on droid design by palpatine, they only made things like commando droids for show to make the war seem like an actual all out war and not just some chess game with the same person on both teams Yet again the clones wouldn’t lose a 1:1000 war against the rebellion

Stormtroopers are an elite force. They would absolutely wipe the floor with clone troopers in terms of armor, weapons, equipment, vehicles and personnel. Clone troopers don't have a shadow force of troopers who can go invisible. And imperials have much etter jetpack troopers as well. The movies make stormtroopers miss badly. If you played any star wars game, you know storm troopers do not miss their shots at all.

Clones were genetically modified soldiers trained from birth to do one thing. Stormtroopers were just random dudes that signed up for the empire. Clones are superior, no contest.

The Clone Troopers vs Stormtroopers section is something that has been an interest for a while. Considering trying a story animations set through the Clone Anti-Trooper Timeline. As we know the Empire would have to stop a private Kamino Clone Security, and with the information about how the chip effects Clones currently in Bad Batch we don't really get to know the Clones as a team anymore. As for Recruitment system Stormtroopers the comics is probably the best reference for what they can do.

A member of our team once submitted a short story to an official Star Wars writing contest (back when Lucasfilm was independent) featuring a female force-sensitive clone trooper who was the result of mixing various individuals' DNA, that joined an elite special operations team, becoming a bounty hunter. The story was set during the Clone Wars. Story didn't win, though.

Technically they are both the same. One group is cloned and as children trained. The other (according to the new trilogy) is nearly the same, except they aren't cloned. However the clones are cloned from a Mandolorian (Jango) and genetic factors to be a warrior that makes their DNA or CloneNA are added to the equation, the clones are superior.

@@CoolMyron Even Stormtroopers have a similar training, even before order 66 a buckethead's training was about loyalty to the empire. Clones are loyal to the Republic (until Order 66) and Stormtroopers are loyal through training. After the Clone Wars/Order 66 the clones became Imperial Stormtroopers Gen 1. However the only downside to a clone is their rapid aging and that's why they were replaced with real humans, but not the training, as the next generation of Imperial Stormtroopers and of course first order all under went the same, if not a more refined clone training for loyalty.

Conscripted soldiers are much more interesting from a story perspective than photocopied people. the clones may have been better. but having an ordinary person, with hopes and dreams join the empire to make a difference, only maybe to be gunned down by the heroes. is much more interesting than clones

Clones: highly capable troopers cloned from a famed and feared bounty hunter with a kill to death ratio on droids of 100:1. Clones lost most of their cognitive function when their inhibitor chips were implanted which limited any creative or unique thinking which was apparent in episode 2 of the bad batch. Stormtroopers are just normal people trained poorly and put into armor so cheap that they can hardly see

The Empire didn't want the clones because Emperor Palpatine feared Order 66 could be used against him and/or Vader. Happened in one of the comics where the clones turned on Vader when a group of Jedi said the order during a fight. Buttt Disney can say F that reasoning and say they're too expensive.

Stormtroopers are favourable to clones for the same reason they change the clone armour to the flimsy stuff the troopers wear. It's all about impression over effectiveness, the troopers can ride off the fearsome reputation of the clones to keep everyone in check and since they're cheaper the empire can afford more of them making it look like the empire's army is stronger than ever

I’m going to be honest they did the stormtroopers dirty after the original trilogy and made them a joke we need to show that stormtroopers should be fierce and should hit targets we need stormtroopers from the first movie.
