I just love how considerate Alex is for Bridgette before he gets into a real relationship with Hannah even though he and Bridgette have been divorced for a couple of years. Ever since he learned his lesson in the episode “Time Hooch” it really shows his good side and gives him some redeeming qualities
@@nonspiderweb Well, that was part of the script of the episode to put more pressure on Bridgette in being honest with her feelings and tell Alex. In real life, Alex could have tell Bridgette that he is going to take the next step with Hannah or his plans about proposing to Hannah. But despite how things evolve, it was clear that despite their past fights, break up and divorce, their friendship bond didn't break up cause they have reached a deeper level on understanding each other (as well as both are still living under the same roof, normally when a couple separates or breaks up, one or both have to move out to another place: the parents' house, a hotel, a cheaper flat, etc). Alex asking Bridgette if everything was fine with them before taking the next step with Hannah was so cool, even if he didn't have the obligation on doing it. In fact, no ex has the obligation on giving his/her exes track about their lives after the break up, but in this case, Alex and Bridgette share the same roof and remian as friendly exes, so from fire ashes remain, and Alex wanted to be sure that Bridgette was fine with being just friends despite their remaining feelings that could fade with the passagge of time.
I knew basically they still love each other even if they live in the same house and see each other everyday and keeping it down the General, in that one episode Alex didn’t want to sign the divorce papers resulting in his younger selves almost stopping him from meeting Bridget for the first time, he didn’t want live in a world knowing that Bridget wasn’t in it and this episode seeing Bridget jealous that Alex has a goddess girlfriend almost wife she was still in love with Alex and those flashbacks of them when they were still together made her realize she still love him and when they kissed it prove they were meant to be but taking it slow for now
The biggest clue that they still love each other (apart that usually exes can return if they still see each other due to certain circumstances like working or studying in the same place), is that they still live under the same roof sharing the rent, normally when a couple breaks, one or both move out no matter where, for example, Bridgette has enough money to move to a flat (due to her family and if she gets a job), or Alex could be in a cheapest hotel, flat in a slum or where he is giving classes because of his low income.

Alex and Bridgette just got married too early. They both needed to mature a LOT before that level of commitment. Especially with them being opposites of each other.
Oooohhh, that was so cool, too difficult and mature to do: talking with your ex whom you remain friends with before taking the next step with your new fiancée. Of course, you wouldn't do it if you weren't in Alex same situation: remain as friends with the ex and living together under the same roof. Meanwhile, Bridgette is making the typical mistake where one "is chasing" the ex through social media where one can share info about his/her life and relationships.
