Well, this 68 year old heterosexual man came to tears over this. I’ve loved Indigo Girls since 1990, seen Em more times than I can recall, and Brandi and Catherine were sublime. Thank you!
I really like these two. And Brandi, so unique in voice, so emotive…such an awesome story teller, but her humility, their humility, and grace overrides all for me and just wraps their talent in closer to fine, closer to kind, closer to what we are here for. I’ve watched Brandi’s tribute with and to Joni and was blown away by both of them, but, again, Brandi’s humility and generosity was nothing short of exemplary. It’s wonderful to see such grace and down to earthness in celebrity when celebrity often breeds darker egoic stuff. Kudos and thank you.
When is the last time you heard 2 married people complement each other in front of an audience like this? Also I think they both meant it - as it was objectively true.
On the last chapters of my lesbian life. Hoping the world gets closer to fine. This is a step in the right direction. ( such a crooked line after all). Thank you ladies
Thanks for sharing this - I just had the honor of seeing Brandi last week in Phoenix when she opened for Pink. She was beyond phenomenal. I was crying like a five year old little girl as she belted out the "The Story". She is just such a beautiful soul, person and her voice is magic. Sending so much love and appreciation from Phoenix, Arizona!
My husband and I were there, too. I totally agree with your comments. I, too, shed a couple of tears when she sang "The Story" AND when Randi joined P!NK to sing Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U". The entire concert experience was truly spectacular!!
Catherine’s voice is beautiful, I really wish she could hear it from the fans point of view! I love this version of the song, almost as much as The Indigo Girls original! ❤🎉
Sitting here watching this in tears. And I couldn't be more straight. Emily and Amy have got to be so proud to hear this amazing rendition of their beautiful, BEAUTIFUL song. Well-done.
SO Excellently done! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Thank You. 🙏🏽 I, too, love the Indigo Girls. The first time I saw them was at a Womyn’s Festival back in the late 80s or early 90s. You two brought another beautiful way to sing and look at this song. I agree. ~A reflective look. So Wonderful! 💜 ~Thank you and here’s to all four of you!!! 💜🌈💕💕
