This has been me lately! Since about August, I’ve tackled so many of these organizing projects; you girls on RU-vid have been such great inspiration! I love this one. I just cleaned out my master bedroom closet last weekend......and switched sides of the closet with my husband to give me more room ! lol (I have more clothes than he). I kept only things that I wear on the regular; things only in my color scheme, and things that fit me great. (which let’s be real; as I age my fit has certainly been changing a bit !😊 ) All else went in a bag for Goodwill. I then put all of my husbands clothes on black colored hangers, and all of mine on white. A little tip I learned from my friend Amanda on RU-vid! 😉! Then I rearranged all the furniture in the bedroom. And cleaned walls, mirrors, hardwood floors, and now I’d like a new comforter, pillows, throw rugs, a new color scheme, so paint...and window coverings for Christmas! It feels SO REFRESHING! The only problem is my husband keeps asking me where I keep coming up with these bags to donate....I have no valid answer! Hahahah 😂! Great video Amanda! ❤️ Oh and YES!!! Thred Up is great! I just started too! I am doing the “one in, one out” rule, for my clothes now. If I buy a new piece, I must donate one. Only keep the same number of hangers, ever. This keeps me accountable , and allows me to ask myself before I buy “am I willing to give up a piece I own for this new one?” before I buy it. It really works! I got that tip from RU-vid also!

I actually used to do that but I’ve gotten super laxed with it over the last year (as you could see) so I’m working my way back there and will definitely be implementing that from now on again! ♥️ I hope you’re having a sweet day girl!

Another great video. ❤👍😊 My hubby's clothes on top red and my clothes are on the bottom rod. I usually have all short sleeves, long sleeves, sweaters, and sweatshirts lined up. Then pants/leggings together. Skirts and dresses all on the other side. Shoes are on the side with skirts/dresses. We reworked our closet shortly after moving in.

I first hang by sleeve length and then by color. I love shirts so I have a lot of them. I dont care much about bottoms so I wear the same ones over and over again. But you have inspired me to clean out again! Thanks!

You did a great job. It looks great! I organize my clothes by separating the dressy from casual. Then I put them in order by long sleeve, short sleeve, tank top and then by color.

I did declutter my closet and donated 4 trash bags of clothing!! It felt so good!!! I donated my gowns to organization to help high school students in need of a dress for prom, militarily ball, homecoming ... including shoes and jewelry. I organized my side of the closet from my most worn more frequently to less... including the shoes as well...

I love your idea for storing leggings & I will try that too, I think! I was wondering what type of hanger that is you have your bras hanging on? I can’t ever find a method I totally love. Right now I have some in a drawer & some draped in half over regular hangers, and neither way is optimal. 👎 Oh, and I mostly hang my clothes from light to dark, but some parts I hang by what cut they are. My closet is super small. I have one rod to hang up clothes so I organize my clothes with church clothes to the left and regular clothes to the right. My husband has his organized long sleeved button up shirts, shorts sleeve button up shirts, regular t-shirts, Carhart T-shirts, blue jeans, khakis, shorts. I hate having to hang his clothes up!!!!

I go by sleeve length and style. I only color coordinate if I have black and navy blue in the same section. That way I don’t have the “is this blue or black” conversation with myself in the morning. I also do it by work clothes (business casual on top) and casual (on bottom rack). I also have my jeans folded in bin. I created a “store” bin for my husband. These are clothes that we got on deep discount that he wears a lot (like black socks, polo shirts, work pants, casual shirts etc)

I think they were about $15 each. I usually don’t spend that much on things like that. But I’m learning that if I buy the cheapest options, they don’t last years and I end up needing to replace them, so when I can, I am trying to get more quality items like that. And thanks girl!! I need to declutter my closet as well. Everytime ive tried to, I tell my self "what if one day I need this shirt"... yes the shirt I havent wore in the past 2 years 🙄🤦‍♀️ I have my shirts organized by sleeve length, and my leggings folded in a drawer. I'll try to declutter before the year ends.

We never lived in Wisconsin actually, but we are from Montana and we don’t have an nfl team there. So my husband picked the packers as his team when he was young and then we all became packers fans because of him ♥️ but we would love to go to a game someday!!

Literally just did this last weekend to our master closet. I’m obsess with Ziplocks Space Bags. Put away all the summer clothes and made a ton of space. I shop thrift all the time. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this website.

I believe ours are the 3rd gen watch and I love it! I have the smaller 38mm one and love the size. My husband says he would recommend the new 4th gen one, because the screen is edge to edge and a little faster, and he is thinking there isn’t a significant price difference. But honestly I’m not planning to upgrade mine for a long time, just because it works so well! It has helped me stay off my phone from checking notifications all the time and it’s just so convenient! ♥️

This Crazy Life Thank you so much! Very helpful. I was actually leaning towards the 3 because it’s waterproof and the previous models say splash proof and as a mom, well, you get it. 😂 It looks like there’s a $120 difference in the price for the non-cellular 3 & 4 models.

girl, my closet is a mess!!! I have put on 25 lbs the last 5 months and I still think I can go back to my weight so I don't want to get new clothes but none of my jeans and shirts fit me 😭😭😭 so I have lost all motivation. Also, I have two drawers in my kitchen with papers, pens and just miscellaneous stuff. I need to do that!!!! 💗💗

I have actually been having some health issues going on, so I’ve put on some weight in the last few months too, and I was in the same boat of not wanting to get new clothes. But I’ve decided that I’m not going to go crazy in redoing my wardrobe now, but I’m getting some pieces that make me feel good until I get things under control to lose the weight. And it’s actually felt so good and helped reduce stress even because I feel better in some of the new clothes! And when I get back down to what I was, I can pick up a few more pieces too♥️

Emely Amaya 🙋🏼‍♀️Same here!! I’m up a couple of sizes actually from a few years ago, but I’m trying to “dress for the size you are, don’t keep clothes for the size you think you’ll be”. That creates clutter for me. If I ever get any smaller; (😐..) it gives me a reason to shop for something then. But I am not banking on that ha ha; nor am I unhappy with my body, I just dress for it. It kind of helps me embrace looking my best at the size I’m at. We are women; after all. Sometimes I think we forget that we are meant to have curves; skinny is not always how our bodies are meant to be. Truth: I am a 14......sometimes I gotta say I even go up a little depending on the clothing maker....BUT...I dress it and own it! 😊 As long as I don’t go past that size, I am embracing these curves. I am 5 foot 7, so dressing my curves is the key. Im a mom. Im a woman. Skinny is for teenagers lol! 😂 If im ever a 12 or 10 again; God bless me ha ha!! but I’m not worried about it. 😁 I eat healthy, I’m active, and this is just where I settle at. I’m not as young as I was anymore, and I’m trying to age gracefully. I’ve decluttered all that doesn’t flatter or fit THIS body. I hope you all feel beautiful at any size too!!! And love your curves no matter the shapes we all are! Sorry, didn’t mean to preach, I think I just needed to say that! 😊❤️

I do mine by type. I’ll do dress shirts/church shirts in one section, then tank tops, casual everyday shirts then pj tops and lastly dresses and jackets. I keep all my bottoms folded in my dresser.

You should see my 2 1/2 year old dance to the music of your videos (I am so grateful you use clean music 😬). I decluttered my entire house about 3 months ago, and it took me 3 months of working on and off. It was so emotional (this is the longest we have lived in one place) and so crazy how we had so little but so much at the same time 🤔. It was draining but worth it. I got rid of old journals, old photos, and things you really in the scope of things, don't need!! My kids really got into it and my 11 year old was donating everything. The best thing I ever did. What's funny is I just told my son it was time to go through things again and we are starting today. Total motivation and thank you!!

I organize buy style (spaghetti strap, tank, short sleeve, etc.). Then I color coordinate. I do the same for capri, pants, skirts and dresses. xoxo

I stay on top of my closet and get rid of stuff and organize in there here and there throughout the year. On the other hand, my bf has a hard time getting rid of stuff. Over the past seven years I’ve got him to go through his stuff three times lol I’d say about a third of my closet is his stuff because his side of the closet is full. And it’s not even clothes, he just has so much stuff. Like a box of Xbox controllers from consoles he doesn’t use anymore.

Omgosh, ok here in L.A. we have an H&M at our city center called 7th&Fig and their clearance items I find for like $3-$7, so what I can do is when I'm there for their 70% off sales I'll give you a heads up. If there's anything you'd like me to pick up for you and send let me know! That store specifically is a high volume, high traffic store here in L.A. and the best one in our city, so they are constantly cycling out and replenishing every two weeks. Your video is awesome, I just decluttered our closets and it wasn't fun...lolol I was so shook when I went to my 17 year old daughter's closet, she keeps EvErYtHiNg...so I'll be working closely with her as she purges her closet, lol

My closet is the size of a postage stamp, and I have it crammed with all my sewing machines, accessories, quilting patterns, several boxes of fabric, photos, clothing, sheets and pillowcases, etc.

I need to declutter my clothes badly. After 2 pregnancies including a twin pregnancy I have accumulated so many different sizes and types of clothes. It's just hard to set aside time to do something like this.

Yes! That was me too! The pregnancies cause us to have so many different sets and sizes of clothes, but maybe try doing this one night when everyone goes to sleep or during nap time. I was surprised that even with filming this, it only took me around 2 hours or so!
