I just love watching your videos. You are so down to earth. Your closet looks amazing. I'm going to brag about myself. I remodeled my own closet last year'. I sketched the design, demolished the old shelving, built the new shelving towers and built some drawers for my workout clothes. Every time I walk into my closet I feel so proud of myself because I built it myself. Girls can build too!!! 😄💪🏼👏🏼💄🌹

Fantastic closet review!! Your husband asking when you got some of your clothing items reminded me of a funny story....recently I was sitting in the dressing room putting on makeup when my hubby and our son-in-law passed by they stopped for a bit in the doorway talking....he looked in at me applying mascara and asked "how long have you been wearing that stuff?" I chuckled and answered "only since I was 14" by the way I am in the mid 70's and we have been married almost 56 years!! Those crazy men!!
Dominique, you always bring us the best videos on ideas and tips for things we want to learn and see about. This closet is by far the best designed closet for what I want when I remodel my room to have a better flow of bedroom, closet, and bath. I love how you have the different shelving, hanging space, and drawers. The sections are perfectly spaced. I'm like you in color coordinating my clothes, shoes, bags, plus under garments. I use coat hangers covered in a crochet wrap that I designed and made for my sweaters that are too large to fold, and need to be more secure without the indentations made by most hangers. I love the pull out hangers you have for hanging clothing to be worn and adding accessories together with the garments. I will add enough space for a small chair to sit on when putting my shoes on. Plus glass doors to cover my handbags and shoes, not everyday clothing, and hats to keep dust off of them, yet be able to see them. Great idea on belt and scarf hangers. I have these last words about your closet, I love it, love it, love it. Great job Dominique. You did deserve a short vacation from all the work you did. It's 7/23/2019 now and the ideas are as fresh now as bacck last year.

I went on a Fall trip and a cruise to steel myself up to do this. After building this house we have been here 13 yrs and standard closet decluttering just was not doing the trick any longer. I am about half way through and it is daunting. Thank you for reinspiring me...your finished closet looks wonderful. My husband, like yours, had less than I, so his job was easier. I am exhausted after a week with at least another week to go but you have given me the will to go on... thanks SO much for keeping me going, I know the end result will make it all worthwhile! Going forward I am DETERMINED to toss out one thing for each new thing I bring in, an old sailing rule....every item from now on must EARN the space in my closet.

Seeing how many clothes and sections you have in your closet, as a video suggestion I would say something such as your 10 favourite outfits ever (mixing seasons and style) or similar! :D Both closets look incredible! I LOVE IT!!!! California Closets hit it out of the park on your his and hers home closet. Great ideas,,great storage...and you donated what could be used for a great cause for others in their time of need so that they can be successful as well. It's a win-win, Dominique!! My hubby and I have been married since 1985..and we will soon be empty nesters and we decided to buy a new one level home!! We are beyond happy!! We rented a 16 x 32 storage shed so we could start moving BEFORE the move. We close on April 15th..so please..keep me in your prayers for strength, wisdom and organization skills!! A young married couple bought our family home the first week it was on the market and they are expecting their first baby in September and they are over the moon to be in a family friendly neighborhood. It's a win-win we feel, also!! I am also getting a bigger closet... We are also making one of the bedrooms into a "Grandchild room" with a bedroom set, their clothes and toys for when they spend the night with us...which is very often!! Every day the dream is becoming a reality!! Take care sweet Dominique!! I love your Dad's navy cap in your closet that you had on in a recent picture!! I am taking a miniature red rose bush from my Dad's funeral 10 years ago, also. Beautiful closet. For the workout clothes I can recommend the Marie Kondo fold technique. Quick and easy to store in drawers, easy to see what you have.

I went through my closet when the hurricane hit in fact I went through my whole house. Our school adopted a school from down there and loaded a few 18 wheelers and sent stuff down that way. You dont know how unexpected it was to get a text from one of the teachers thanking me for the mary kay products I had that I had to sell and just donated because I know how it feels to have. Clean face and make up on. I cried with that sweet text. I was a blessing to do the clean out for a great reason

WOW! My closest is about 1/10th the size. I was laughing because I honestly don't have a lifestyle to even require me to own so many clothes. You always look like a million bucks and have inspired me to clean out my little tiny closet. Love all your videos...such a classy woman and just beautiful.

Both of the closets turned out great. I think Nick could use a small bench, ottoman or stool in his section too. Would be nice in fabric or leather matching the dark walls in his closet. Thanks so much for sharing this transformation.

I redid my closet 3yrs ago and love all the “free” space that I have now. Basically I purged out everything that wasn’t blAck and that did not fit. Hi Dominique, The closet tutorials could not have come at a more convenient time as I am in the middle of doing my own closets and the organization of my clothing, accessories AND cosmetics. So far, I have filled 3 large bags for donations to one of my favorite charities. Since I do not work anymore, I will donate my work clothes to "Dress for Success". This is so embarrassing, but, I have shoes that are over 20 years old! What was I thinking? Well, now they are in style again! Go figure... Thank you for sharing your closet with us! Very nicely done!! I really like the tuck away hangers for scarves, belts and especially the hanger pull out to put your outfitting together for what you are going to wear for work or to go out. I was just going to suggest that you get hangers that are all coordinated but it sounds like that is on the way. It will improve the final look so much.

Hey Dominique. Just a tip. If you store your shoes with one facing forward and the other facing backward, that will free up some space and allow you to also see the heel shape and height. Got that from an interview I saw with Marylou Henner. 😊
Beautiful! How lovely to have such a organized area to get ready! It's surprising how dusty it will get, I switched out a window (that didn't open) in my closet to one that opens for fresh air flow. This has made a huge difference

Such a beautiful closet! The only thing thats "missing" for me is matching hangers. I would look into it and switch to the same color/size hangers for the whole closet.
