Damir Franc so im trying to find out what headset I want I think either the g933 or the man of war what do you think dude I really don't care about how they look I just want an overall good headset. Also great job on your video
i have a cloud 2 and a cloud revolver i personally think the revolver is way more comfortable and better sound quality as well so i dont understand how it was disqualified before the video even began seems rediculous to me
i wore the revolver ones and in just 2 seconds i knew that was really wrong... maybe it depends on the shape of your head... some people find them comfortable but some dont... they are extremely heavy and their top cushion is not really helping to smooth out the weight so all the pressure goes on the middle of your head and it makes u say no way im wearing that for more than 5 minutes! (i know the comment is old im just trying to help those that are interested) while the cloud 2 were just weightless and have bigger earpads so they wont irritate your ear skin if your ears are like dumbo's :)))
Μαρία Αηδονίδου You are correct that they sit on your head heavier but the more you wear them the more you get used to them and the sound on the revolver is FAR superior in my experience. I had both and tested them against each other in a few ways. Comfort definitely is better on the cloud but the quality of the revolver made me return the cloud 2s. It was amazing. It was heavy for sure but my head got used to it after about an hour.
I say the HyperX Cloud II is the best, i test a lot of headsets! Best comfort and realy nice crispy sound! Never had such nice sound on and in my ears.
Just bought the G933, exclusively to play games with, and completely agree with your review. After tuning the equalizer to my likings, these headsets offer an amazing immersive experience. The bass is indeed as you said "bone rumbling" and something I was looking for in a wireless headset. I still love my wired Cloud 2's but don't see me using them for games anymore. The G933 is just a step above the cloud 2 for gaming immersion. The only minus is indeed the slightly low sound volume, but somehow I think it's better for my ears because I would just crank this baby up to 11 all the time. Thanks for the review, I don't regret taking your advice to heart!
Nice to see the HyperX2's holding it's own against the big boys. My only gripe about the HX2's is the mic is below average quality. Someone got all butthurt when I said this on Jayz2Cents's review and started hurling some very confusing insults at me claiming that they got a firmware update and that the mic sounds *much* better now. Well I've taken a listen to the post update mic and while it does sound *a little* better than it did originally, it still sounds pretty darn bad. But you can't expect much better at $100. I think having only 1 complaint is pretty good for a gaming headset at this price point.
This is the second time that you helped me to deside what to buy. First time with your review on the P9 lite and now with the HyperX cloud II. Thank you!
Great review. You got a subscriber. Finally a youtube channel that isn't biased and sucking off every single company saying that everything about every product is good.
Holy hell! Thank you for this comparison video! I have the same HyperX, also some other headsets here, but I.... NEVER imagined that a WIRELESS headset can produce a base like that. With 40mm drivers? These Pro-G drivers.... hyped or not, really came out spectacular. I'm so happy that I picked up a G933 blindly(since I had nowhere to try out one), based only on your comparison video
My brother accidently told me that my sister was buying me the HyperX Cloud II and I was super excited! In this video, It didn't come first In EVERY place but, it is $80 less expensive than the G933 and more than half the price than the Razer!!! (In Australia) For something that is way cheaper than the other ones, these ones are the best by far!!!
Thanks Damir! You have dispel all my doubts. I can finally buy LGT G933 with a clear conscience. I was so confused since I had a big dilemma to choose between Razor and LGT!
i have the cloud 2 and the g933.. the cloud 2 is lacking in base (in fps games the sound is underwhelming) and the g933 keeps on disconnecting and have to reset it daily
S.D.Photography ok first of all, if you are running this on a laptop, the Hyperx cloud 2, and all USB headsets will sound terrible due to drivers, if you are on desktop, if your PC doesn't have good sound drivers, obviously your sound may suffer. On my computer, my headset sounds amazing, in both music and gaming. The 7.1 functionality, is good. I don't like that you can't hear yourself, like my first ever headsets the px22 from turtle beach, but I wouldn't want too anyway because the mic is kind of bad. The mic is detachable so that is a plus, so external mic Ftw, and yeah. The bass is amazing btw, so that's probably your drivers.
S.D.Photography or maybe, you can't tell lol. Logitech products have terrible build quality, most of their handsets are plastic with steel supporting. This also applies to most of their products. Kingston hasn't released a single bad product, so that's how you know their build quality is pretty good and fans support it. Also, Logitech doesn't use their own sound drivers, they use Dolby. So in my reality, The Hyperx cloud 2 wins by a small margin. Considering, build quality, superior sound quality, and just realibility. Logitech, has software though, which you can tweak your sound stage to however you like it, both has 7.1 surround sound, the g933 is wireless, and comes with rgb lighting. And that's the only difference. Note, wireless is always slower than wired, and there is lag with it.
g933 actually. It provided the best balance of features, quality, and comfort when focused on gaming, as I already have a speaker system for music listening.
how about some issue regarding spontaneously turning off or built quality of g933?, can you give me opinion about g933 cause i am still thinking which one i will buy G933 or Man O War?, im a type of person looking for Gaming, Streaming video and Music with good bass, hope for your help thank you..
The Hyper X Cloud 2's will last you the longest of any of these and you don't have to worry about charging, syncing, etc. type bs. They sound the best too in my opinion, though I'm no audiophile but even I could tell they sounded better than logitechs.
Got the Logitech G933. I recall being in the fish market in witcher 3, the little bridge thats t here. And i had 7.1 surround sound enabled. In the distance i could hear people playing the gwent theme in the fish market. i decided to quickly swap to stereo using one of the G keys. and as soon as stereo was enabled it felt like the people playing the gwent theme were literally right beside me despite them not actually being there. surround sound is amazing with these headsets. adds a sense of depth/distance for the incoming sound.
You understand that the Man O Wars have a wired variant with a 7.1 USB adapter that you could have mentioned. And maybe throw in a Steel Series or Sennheiser option when doing your next comparison. Having tried all of these except the Revolvers, I can say I agree that the comfort and build of the Cloud 2's slightly overtakes my current Man O Wars, but the audio quality is largely the same to me. Apart from that, great video! Just came across your channel and this video was all it took to get a sub from me. Keep it up with these throw-downs, but consider adding more manufacturers, especially if you include a "Gaming Performance" section of the review... And thanks for NOT including a Beats option! WORLD PEACE!!
I might be a little biased as I've got a Razer Blade for a daily driver and I like to stick to the same manufacturer, and also they build solid devices.. I didn't know they had staggered the launch of the sets for the MoW's but as far as sound quality with the USB dongle, I've actually compared the Clouds and Razer's side by side BC I would have kept the Clouds if they were clearly better.. I didn't end up keeping them... But then again I'm not an audiophile by any means. I've also tried the Corsair set, I forget the SKU but they were the hideous yellow RGB set. I didn't like them as much as either the Kingston or Razers but maybe you could do a review of those as I think they were pretty cheap. I'm going to check out more of your videos later. It's hard to find a tech reviewer that actually knows wtf he's talking about. Keep it up and maybe you'll hit LMG status one day. Also digging the accent dude, don't lose it!!
Damir, thank you soooo much for this review. It was very helpful. I was struggling to decide between the Man O War and the G933. I ended up going with the G933 and am having a little bit of buyers remorse. Now that I've been using the G933's for a few months, here's what I like about them: 1) the sound is incredible! 2) I love the software and the fact that it allows me to tweak the sound, lighting, etc. Here's what I DO NOT like about them: 1) they feel a bit heavy and uncomfortable on my head after about 30 minutes. I play a lot of Swtor and after a while, they just start to feel like I have a pound of potatoes on my head. They also create a little bit of pressure around my ears. Could just be the shape of my head but that's one of the main things I don't like about them. 2) I've been battling a problem between the G933's mic and TeamSpeak 3. The mic auto mutes itself when using TeamSpeak. There's several forums around this problem with various suggestions on how to fix it, but for me, I'm still having the issue. I almost wish I had gone with the Man O War's but I'm reading several forums around the build quality. A lot of people find that they physically break after a few months of normal use. *sigh* Looks like there are good and bad things about each headset. Thanks again for this awesome review! For those of you still looking, this has been my experience with the G933's and I hope it helps somehow in your decision.
I just ordered the Logitech G633. I didn't want to have to deal with the wireless version lol. They're both the same, so I went with the G633! I can't wait to pick them up today!
I personally own the HyperX Cloud Core gaming headset. If you get an amplifier and hook it up to the HyperX Cloud headset, you'll unleash some amazing sound. Rattling bass and all. I love it.
Cloud II or Revolver? The only reason i'm kind of leaning towards Cloud II is, because Revolver really doesn't sound as good while listening to music, especially when it comes to rock etc(?) I want a good balance between music and gaming. Mic quality is a big plus.
Agree with you. After having plantronics 780s for several years, i bought man o war(which broke after 2 months, im careful with tech), my mate lent me his spare cloud II's and the sound quality was ok, but the mic was utter garbage, friends constantly made fun of me on ts haha(no wonder he had a "spare"), last night I went and bought g633s(because i don't need wireless). I honestly don't know why they fall off people's heads, mine are nice and snug and I have a fairly large head. The sound quality is absolutely mindblowing, i switched on "FPS" EQ, then enabled DTS X on logitech studio and holy crap.....i was hearing things i didn't know existed(while playing d3). Best of all, all the sounds are so clearly distinguishable from one another its crazy, i can hear game music, character voices, TS voices and sound effects all together without them interfering over each other. IMO I think cloud series are seriously overrated and overhyped, i don't know why people like them so much, but mic is utter shit and sound quality is just a bit above average. Yes they have build quality going for them but are you really going to take them outside your house over a dedicated stereo pair ? Razer.....eh, just don't bother, like most of their products they are DESIGNED to break and and you are paying extra for the name and cringey "pr0-gam3r" community. So for those who are on the fence between razer or logitech or hyperx or even a stereo cans+mic(overkill if not a youtuber/streamer)....i would say definitely get a g633 or a g933, BUT get it from an actual store near you because if something goes wrong you can return it easier. PS. the build quality is fairly good, they feel solid and the extender things inside headband ARE metal.
I know you didn't compare the mics but on personal opinion, what do you think are 1st and 2nd place? I' really thinking to get the Logitech one because it is reasonably priced compared to razer and is has the best sound for gaming headphones. Also, is technically the 633 the same as 933 only with cable?
Cloud revolver is the best when we talk about comfort. What is wrong with this man....?! It have memory foam, the ear cup is not perfect round so your ear is not compresed. The band automatically adjust for the size of your head etc. You not feel them on your head evan after several hours of wearing them.
Gotta say just bought the G933's and they are absolutely awesome they are extremely comfortable and sound REALLY good with the right settings (My ears favor FLAT the best) they are great for listening to music aswell as gaming could not be more happy with them :) Also have not found that falling off of the back of my head to happen think he was wearing them WAY too far back.
Do you think you'll review the next generation Astro A50 that is released in a few weeks? Choosing between the ManO'War and G933, but wondering if it might be worth to wait for the new A50.
The Cloud Revolver S is an improvement and direct successor of the Cloud II afaik. Prolly not good in comfort, but definitely in sound quality. So in terms of sound quality only afaik the revolver S is the best with frequency ranges of 12-28000khz and more controlled natural bass. Very good for music and gaming purposes. www.pcgamer.com/we-tested-23-mainstream-gaming-headsets-to-find-the-best/7/ In terms of strong bass, nah, I like the more natural bass than an overly powered bass. the problem with the bass of clouds is that they are strong but not controlled and therefore distorts other sounds but still the best still. So in terms of sound quality, Revolver S then Clouds. Soundstage definitely adds to the good sound quality of Revolver / S..
for people worrying about the g933 and themoon falling off the head it might not be and issue for you you I use the headset for the htc vive and never had them fall off once
I'm deciding between the Logitech G933 and Razer Man o'war, which one do you think is better? I love the look of the G933 but the Razer looks to have less flaws
g933 I like but started to hurt top of my head on the 3rd day then I went to cloud 2 and been a week and love it no pain to the top of the head. wish the g933 didn't hurt my head but need more padding on the top even be little bit wider
Have to disagree on the revolver pair. (my console headset) I know this is subjective but I think they're more comfortable than the cloud IIs with better sound. (I've had both) The only slight issue is the metal band can be heard if touched. Interesting we had such different experiences. That said, the value winner is definitely the cloud IIs. I've actually use the Corsair H2100s for my pc for years and they keep on winning just because of it's wireless nature (not that great at this point but fine for its time, wireless and reliable) and am looking at the Logitech's as an eventual replacement. (when it dies which who knows when that'll be) That or I'll get an amp (sennheiser 1000s or something) and use my revolver to get that 7.1 sound. I was really impressed with that effect and it seems more the versatile option but who knows in this day and age.
Thank you bro. Just tell me which one should i buy. I watch movies , RU-vid and play games. I just want better surround sound. Can you explain what is dolby atom , dolby dogital , Dts mean and which one is better? And what 7.1 headset mean? Tell me your opinion which wireless should i buy Logitech , Corsair , Asus Strix , Sennheiser game one, Astro A50 , Hyper Cloud II ? Tell me your opinion thank you. Sorry for annoying. I just love to learn. But which you choose for me it should also work without internet. Because we have load shedding problems. Internet is not very fast. Thanks again :)
Franc Help !! Which one would you chose between Logitech G533 and Sennheiser Game One, for competitive gaming (footsteps etc.) and good quality music. Sennheiser is 2.0. Logitech is 7.1 Also Speakerdriver 35 mm vs 40 mm, but I still cant choose..
hi i want to buy g933 after this rewiew but i love music and i love bass. so for the pop music and punchy clear bass. I also love clear detailed mids too. which is better? man o war or g933? bcs i want wireless. and which is better on max volume? thanks for the awesome review. sorry for my eng :D
Have you used our looked at the licensed gears of war hyper x cloud II headphones. They have a few changes like metal headband with leather etc. Volume control on cord which is one of my gross not because I don't like that but because the way the implemented it sticks. It is a cheap plastic wheel which has no fiction so every time it touches your shirt when you move it catches and turns volume up and down. You have to have it set so max volume is at max volume on wheel of you could blow your ears off. I would love your opinion. For the first time on a product I hardly did any research I just loved the look and my main criteria was comfit because everything I have ever bought gives me passion and headaches. These I can wear forever they have awesome soft cups with proprietory memory foam. And the real leather head strap is a suspension system. They look great and feel great. Now I do not have much to compare to so I would love to know what you think of the is any of much difference to the standard version. I need an experts opinion. All I can find is unboxings and poor reviews. Please let me know, thanks. I have just found your channel so have subbed. I want to buy all kinds of headphones now. I have only 2 pair so far but I am horseback with an illness so money is an issue for a little while. But as soon as it's not I will be getting great headphones. Massdrop seems to get occasional decent ones according to reviews on RU-vid. Thanks
ty for the comparison. I have already a hyper x cloud 2, i was looking for a wireless headset that could be good for gaming, music, film, video ecc...between g933 and man o'war, which one would you recommend ? XD
What you don't realize is that the Cloud II's are half the price of the others. The Cloud II's are better in every way, except for bluetooth (duh!), So the absolute BEST bang for the buck are the HyperX's. Also, if you want deeper bass, get an equalizer and boost the bass slightly from 60hz down.
have to agree, the revolvers are comfortable and sound good, but the issues with the metal band and the suspension band were too much. too much noise even when bobbing your head or walking, let alone if someone twanged the metal band. tossed them after a month.
nice review/ opinion/ comparison pick-out. Although, you must take into consideration that you are not wearing the G933s correctly. As a matter of fact, you purposely moved the head arch backwards the first time you put the G933s on, just to make a terrible argument. Sorry, but you must reason with sense. You could have at least cut the part where you adjusted the head arch back, out.
You must be kidding right? Disqualify the cloud revolver? I just got mine 2 days and I had the razer kraken pro for 2 years and the revolver is way better than the razer and they are way more comfortable since they are over ear not on ear and they don't have the more base that covers other sounds sometimes in the razer.
Hyperx Cloud Revolver S or Logitech G633, I play a lot of FPS games like cod, R6 siege and others so I need good headsets to hear footsteps with and have good clear boomy gun shots and explosions. I play on ps4 so what is the best headset for me?
Thanks for very fast reply :) didn't know these headset were for action. I don't have any headset yet this is why I don't know what to buy. Can you recommend me some cans which is best for fps game like csgo as I play a lot fps games
the cloud II is standard or is it the gun metal, cause the link in the description says gun metal, but anyways. The cloud II standard have a good enviroment performance even not being 7.1??
Too bad you fell for that Revolver; The Cloud is the only one with value and worth buying.the Cloud 1 being enough for those who already have a good DAC. I purchased the cloud 2 because of an irremediable conflict between my onboard sound and onboard connection after the Win 10 Upgrade on an old PC; PS: I would be willing to spend more on a high quality headphone, but given how incredibly comfortable the cloud 2 is, I still use them. Should you know of something better in quality with the same comfort please let us know
All is good...except for the loaner who fell for it. Servus.
Damir one question. better astro A50(or 40 mixamp) or logitech g933 only sound quality for gaming? ive try logitech in store but its really uncomfortable. when i wear razer man o war i think..i can sleep with this comfortable headset, but sound isnt so good. (ive use for gaming) so what about astro a50 5.8 wireless? and what about steelseries siberia p800?
thanks. so you thinks 2.4ghz of artemis.its good for that price? i try artemis uncomfortable with tissue pavillon. razer man o war can do better with synapse sorround update? another question. what about asus real 7.1 wireless? can sound better than artemis?
The Revolver S is the best guys out of the 4. I've owned the man o wars, and g933s. The sound quality is better, and it's more comfortable than them both, the Revolvers S has a lower ohm dependence, +a higher, and lower frequency than the other 2 meaning bigger sound space. This dude's a bot. If you don't believe me your welcome to Google ratings yourself. He stated the cloud 2 was the best overall, but at this time the revolver S was HyperX's flagship. So yeah the Revolver S has best specs out of the bunch, and better reviews. I just don't want you guys missing out.
I listened so many reviewers but you are the best really you answer my questions I have made my decision now for the logitech 933 because I like the bass and it s for my ps4, music doesn t care for me I only wonder how the arctis 7 sounds and sony platinum.. Could you review those maybe greetings tnx..
There is nothing better then the Cloud II as sound quality in its price range as far as I know. I have HyperX Cloud II for around an year now and I like them with the leather cups. I'm just wondering if its going to be worth getting G933 to lose the wire and maybe get a better sound.
+os4maxg4mer Ksa I'm not sure about the sound quality , but as far as the rest I know that the razor have better mic , for which I don't really care that much. Also If I'm not mistaken the Kraken can be use only with USB connection which its not OK for me. Have you had Cloud II to try and compare or you just say that base on that you like the Kraken Croma ?
Dont get the G933. Gave me so much problems like the USB sound card does not work etc2. Also, if you use it in Stereo mode, it sounds really soft. You will need to always use the surround sound to get a loud sound, which is so stupid in my opinion.
I have ordered the G933's to see how they sound and if there's any immediate problems that I can notice. I have used a wireless headset before (Corsair 2100) and the only problems that I had was a kind of crackling sound that appeared after a year (I guess the connection got worse after so long), and the noticable weight that comes after long periods of usage. If you're happy with the sound and feel of the cloud II's, I'd say you should stick with them, since there seem to be a lot of people having trouble with the G933's.
I compared today the comfort of the most expensive headsets at the local electronics shop. I tried Logitech g933, Razer Manovar and Steelseries Siberia 800. They all felt like cheap, plasticky, creaking behemoths and i just didn't like at all how they felt on the head. They all just seemed so downgrade from all headphones i have used before. I have history mostly with Sennheiser, Akg and Jbl... Then i tried Hyperx Cloud II, and man! They felt like headphones are meant to be felt, and then some. So comfy that they might even put some of the real headphones to shame! I tried Revolvers too, they were good also but i didn't like the metal band, as it would annoyingly vibrate sound to the earcups.
Does the Logitech G933 Artemis surround sound work on the PS4? OR only on a PC with their software???? I'm very tempted to buy the G933...even with them falling off your head over and over...which I've seen before....IF the surround works on PS4. This is the best bet for me because then I could answer my cell phone on the headset while I'm gaming...and use them blutooth with my phone for music. Any help would be great....as this is the only questions I have not been able to get an answer to.
Yes the PS4 does support audio over USB (XB1 doesn't), so this headset should work wireless with the PS4 using the USB dongle. You also have the AUX cord that you can plug to the controller and use it wireless (since controller is wireless). For compatibility, the G933 is as good as headsets get.
Some buttons and functions may not operate when connected to the PlayStation® 4. Programming of lighting and buttons is not possible on the PlayStation® 4. 7.1 surround sound is not available while connected to the PlayStation® 4.
Am I the only one who hates the Cloud 2's? I loved them at first and a month in the headphone blew out. Sound was only coming from 1 headphone. Support was great we got a new one back and the same thing happened.
