In today's video, I'll be bringing you the latest updates in the world of AR & VR. First up, we'll discuss the leaked information about Cloud PCVR Streaming for the Quest. Following that, we'll talk about Horizon being made available in every country.

I think Meta Horizon violates a heck ton of privacy issues, I wonder if they finally took the customer under consideration and fixed there data harvesting obsession, makes sense how they made it into other countries.

Mentioned the quest 2 being out of stock a few days ago. You can still get refurbished ones on Meta’s website for $189, but it is limited quantities. This is a total bummer since I was going to get two to test out for my library program next year, so it’s either go refurbished or forget about it. 😢

For sure vr cloud gaming is the way forward. It lowers the barrier of entry from 550(quest3) + 2.5k (vr pc) to just the quest/quest3s + subscription. (For sure it will be subscription).

Liv already has a standalone SDK in app lab. You have to use an iPhone. I used it on my Q2 and just downloaded it onto my Q3

It is definitely gonna be subscription based and they might add it into bundles like playstation does like basic, extra, deluxe. Each bundle has more and more features so meta might do that to meta+ and might include cloud pcvr into the highest bundle if they are going to do that

I've been using Cloud PC's to PCVR for a few years now. I only really use one now, Shadow PC after I saw your video on it. Canada has excellent internet and it works very very well for me even though my server isn't all that close to me. I think the greatest part of using a cloud pc is not worrying about hardware upgrades. When upgrades become available it's easy and quite reasonable to upgrade even for a poor old nerd like myself. Same with expanding your storage space.

Cloud gaming on a per game basis is a cool idea. Play Lone Echo on Quest 3 via cloud gaming, without the need for a cloud gaming subscription, just a broadband connection. Streaming price covered in the quest store price for the game. I'm all in for Lone Echo 2, I still haven't got round to buying and playing that one on PC

please talk about metas broken quest3 controllers, index trigger causes bouncing of the index trigger when its fully pulled in or even if you weren't touching it at all causing gestures in games like vrchat to spaz out, i literally ordered a brand new quest 3 controller got it a few days ago and it was doing it straight out of the box, talk about it so they will actually fix it

What does this mean for Quest 2 PCVR. I believe the Quest 2 is still an important device for PCVR as it doesn't dependent on the power of the device as the PC is doing all the heavy lifting. Meta needs to make sure it supports all the devices that are out there. Not just give up after 3 years. This is not the mobile phone industry. Looks like I will be moving to one of the other PCVR focused companies with longer support.

It doesn't matter if a ARVR headset has the most powerful specs, is all about the OS and software for it, and Meta is the king by far, so a clone or not of vision pro, it will flop unless it has android or something like that. So, we can just hope that meta is making the Meta quest Pro 2 with almost same if not better specs than vision pro, as for now the 3 is the best by far. Thanks for the video.

I'm so excited for the cloud gaming, if that becomes a thing than that would make my quest so much better. I don't have a PC, only a laptop that sometimes even can't handle Minecraft and I don't have the money for a PC. So PCVR is otherwise just not an option for me.

Calling Lone Echo a PCVR title is misleading. It's not on Steam, and the original game (according to Google) is exclusively a Oculus Rift title.

Bro meta horizon's invite only program was a joke, It apearantly wasn't available in Belgium, when I entered my details and my country I got accepted to the program. Launching the game however would tell me it wasn't available in my region, Meta why the hell would you accept my invite when it aint available...

1 Mio Quest 3? Well, I would be very surprised, if there were not at least 3 Mio Quests 3 out there. Meta sold around 1 - 1.5 mio Quest3 in the Q4 2023... PSVR1 was sold (in all the years) about 5 Mio times... And Quest 3 is doing much, much better. BTW, in Germany there are 3,7 Mio VR headsets (survey 2024)! So worldwide (incl. China) there should be 20 - 25 Mio headsets...
