Cloud remembers his memories with Aerith | Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth #finalfantasy7rebirth #ff7rebirth #finalfantasyviirebirth #aerith #cloudstrife #sephiroth
Did anyone else notice how this was unlike any other time he fought off sephiroth's/jenova's control? There was no static. No headache. Just simply the memory of aerith and he snapped back to himself instantly
@@Wingedspace22in Japanese, Aerith says "welcome back". Cloud is under Sephiroth's control for a long time and Aerith helped Cloud become himself again❤.
I love the nod to Advent children here when Cloud grabs Aeriths hand. It's like the scene when Aerith grabs his hand to help him get higher to fight Bahamut in AC.
@@loregasmic Not true if you ever played the OG. Cloud needs companions to snap him out of it most of the time but never is it shown he isn't able to exert any free will. It's because he regained his will that Sephiroth took the killing blow instead.
@@kellevichytrue I remember Cloud was about to kill Aerith but the moment he regains control Sephiroth leaps down and plunges his sword through her back 😭
Aerith puts her faith in him...and her faith is rewarded 30 seconds later. Sephiroth will slice the branch and they fall. Now, consider Aerith is fine after the fall, but Cloud has to be carried by Barrett. Cloud must have twisted in midair to take the hit on his own body and used himself as a cushion for her. Further he must have landed on something especially dangerous to take a superhuman like him out that long. Self sacrifice at its finest.
It's evil the way Sephiroth smirks before releasing his whispers on Aerith, then having them push her right as Cloud makes his way towards her. Sephiroth really is like a cat playing with his mouse... Cloud and Aerith are too good. I love how Aerith has so much faith in Cloud, and Cloud always becomes more heroic when he needs to save Aerith 😢
Bit of a contrast from the OG where Cloud was not only unable to resist at all, but actually assaulted Aerith. People say he “only hit the ground” but there’s not way to distinguish it, and the sound effect leads one to believe he physically attacked her. Then when he woke up in Gongaga later, he didn’t want to follow after her. He was reluctant fearing Sephiroth would control him again. His friends actually had to kick him in the butt to go after her. Then at the City, he was about to strike her himself and wasn’t able to break free of Sephiroth’s influence until his friends called out to him. The interference from whatever wacky multiverse shenanigans that’s going on is giving him both more and less control at times.
Also when he had the black materia, he didn’t give a shit about either of them when his main goal was the materia, it was only until after he gave the mat to Sephiroth he remembered Aerith. The same would likely go for tifa but I can’t confirm obviously.
I wonder if this is the moment Aerith switched the real black materia with the fake one. So after they fell down, she put the real one in unconscious clouds pocket for him to find later.
Creepier and more unsettling than what happened in the original(Cloud's got the whole "Honey I'm home!" and "Here's Johnny!" thing going on)and what happened in the original was really f*cked up.
doesnt he beat on her in og?! that be too graphic to show in this game ESPECIALLY that this is not a genre of game that shows that kinda violence only always implied
@@Nikachewy I have no memory of that scene even happening when I played the original and had to look it up on YT to confirm it did in fact happen and wasn't one of those urban myths fans liked to propagate way back when that still gets spread around. I must've thought Cloud was angrily punching the ground instead and if say Cait Sith is with you he doesn't react to what's happening just remarks he has to get out of here or something like that.
@@CrazyxEnigma I could never tell the extent of how far he hurt her, cause..the pixels lol but it was def implied he hit her at least once, well shoved/hit but he did hurt her. cause he apologizes in the dream state she puts him in after, I had barrett in my team and I remember him getting angry in disbelieve at cloud cause I saw the cursing text lol and the thing on cait Sith that was when the new cait sith was coming to replace the old one that sacrificed itself...but lets also agree some of the dialogue from OG was terrible LMAO
@@Nikachewy He definitely hitting her in the original, he punching her to the ground and keeps beating her unconscious (The ps1 graphics are just bad that people nowadays mistake it for him punching the ground) Personnaly I can't see how anyone thought he was punching the ground back in 97 based on the visuals, she's unconscious, sounds and reactions of party members it was always obvious to me.
This scene creates a paradox. Sephiroth cuts the branch, causing them to fall into the abyss, but when we return, there is a scene showing a groggy Cloud pulling her up... so which is it? Did Sephiroth cut the branch, or did Cloud just imagine that? Something happened here that they are not showing us.
Aerith snaps him out of it and he nearly dies himself for her when he fell. No hate on Tifa, but he threw her into the lifestream and barely even flinched. I hope that with Aerith temporarily being gone, that Tifa will be able to break through the way Aerith does, because if not everyone is in danger of Cloud, but perhaps Aerith’s still going to be there in spirit helping Cloud along and whispering into his ears.
Hmm the end there kinda reminds of a similar ending from the video game of Little Nightmares 2 in that particular situation with Six as Cloud and Mono as Aerith but in different roles somehow or whateve, but their ending is different so yea haha.
People are making everything about ‘ships,’ but he only bounced back after returning the Materia to Sephiroth. Then, he saw Aerith, which is a direct parallel to how he first met her which reminded him of their memories together..
i don’t think he was given enough time to see that side develop. right after everything went to hell in niebelhim, him and cloud were comatose for a while. zack died shortly after. cloud “woke up” a while after. i’m sure zack woulda had some mind fuckery later on if he never died. my interpretation tho. i could be wrong
So they took out Cloud attempting to kill Aerith and gave it to Tifa instead for... literally no reason because the plot point of Cloud attacking Tifa is LITERALLY never revisited again. This is called "trash writing".
They did that because Tifa almost had 0 plot going on for her on the first disc and they wanted to give everyone some storyline for Rebirth, like what’s left for her if you take the Cloud vs Tifa out of Rebirth?
I saw Cloud attacking Tifa as an expansion to early Disc 2 where Sephiroth shapshifts into Tifa and fools the party, rather than an equivalent to attacking Aerith
@@Unsaid86 This npc is literally copy-pasting the same 💩 on every videos related to FF7Rb lol. I hope the devs patch this one out from the gene pool soon enough.
